Palace Hotel Kakegawa

Some Reviews mentioned that the property felt old, but it was properly cleaned, and the women’s bath—perhaps newly added—was extremely clean and beautiful. Breakfast also had a satisfying selection. The welcome drink was appreciated! I don’t drink alcohol, but alcoholic options were available too. I’d like to stay again.

I stayed here as I couldn't drive back home after a same-day surgery. Living in Makinohara City, it takes about 40 minutes by car to Kakegawa, but since access to the train station is only possible by car, Palace Hotel Kakegawa's convenient location right near Kakegawa Station and free parking was a great help. The building shows its age, but it was well-cleaned and comfortable to stay in. The complimentary breakfast had a wide variety of dishes, including unique options like beef bowls and tororo soup that are rare for breakfast. The caramel pudding and almond tofu desserts were also delicious. The large public bath seemed newly renovated with clean facilities, and the cosmetics provided were of good quality. Although there was no one else when I used it, the lack of lockers made me slightly concerned. Overall, this accommodation offered an excellent stay at a very reasonable price. Thank you!
