Kagami ga Ike Hekizan Tei

The view from the Room window overlooking Kagami-ga-ike Pond is wonderful. While thinking I’d like to visit again in the snowy season, during cherry blossoms, and when the fresh greenery appears, I took a walk around the Hotel. Beyond Kagami-ga-ike Pond feels like Moominvalley, and it naturally brings out a childlike sense of wonder. I also heard that the pond ahead turns slightly white on a milky day—I’d love to see that too. I walked up the slope through the Dake Onsen town to the shrine. There were a few Hotels not in operation here and there, and while it felt like such a waste because it’s such a nice place, this quiet atmosphere was also very comfortable in its own way. The Hotel meals were delicious, and the other guests were calm and mature, so I was able to relax. The Hotel Room and large public bath were both clean—nothing to complain about. It was a very satisfying trip. Thank you very much.

I planned and joined a memorable trip with my elderly parents and my mother’s younger brother and his wife. Having stayed here several times before, I made a Reservation for a 5th-floor Room with a full view of Kagami-ga-ike Pond right in front of the Hotel. The cherry blossoms were not yet in bloom, but the illuminated lights reflected beautifully on the night scenery, creating a truly magical atmosphere. The location is perfect for anyone who wants to feel close to nature.The Room was comfortably spacious, and we were able to relax.Meals consisted of prepared dishes plus a half-buffet; there was a good variety, and it was more than enough.We had a wonderful time.We’ll make an opportunity to visit again.Thank you very much.
