Atami Kinjo-kan

I stayed here with a friend for a two-person trip. After arriving at JR Atami Station, we wanted to drop off our luggage before sightseeing, so we used the Shuttle Service to head to Kinjokan. The driver was very friendly, and we ended up using the Shuttle Service many times. After arriving, we asked about meal times at the front desk and also completed our karaoke reservation before heading out to explore.The Ryokan has a wonderful retro atmosphere from the main entrance. The Room’s toilet and bath are a bit dated, but since there is a large public bath, it didn’t bother me personally. The large public bath also has an open-air bath, which was very satisfying.Near the large public bath there is an old-fashioned game corner, which we enjoyed. The karaoke we reserved was DAM, and we had a full hour of fun.We chose a top-floor Room with an ocean view, so the scenery was amazing both morning and night. However, since the dining venue is directly above the top floor, you may hear some noise during meal times. The entryway in our Room was very spacious, so it seems like you could easily place a stroller or large luggage there.We were able to relax and enjoy both breakfast and dinner buffets until we were completely full.This time we stayed in the main building, so next time I’m considering trying an annex building instead.

We stayed here for our year-end family trip and had an experience and satisfaction beyond the price. Singing karaoke together as a family became a great memory. The meals were also very delicious. Due to the age of the Facility, we felt cold in areas like hallways and near elevators when moving to the bath, but everything was kept clean and well-maintained. Despite it being a busy day with many guests, we were not disturbed by noise from other Rooms and had a truly comfortable stay. Thank you very much!
