We had a comfortable stay.
As soon as you step inside, a stunning, luxurious escalator comes into view. The front desk staff and all employees were very attentive, making the stay comfortable. On the day I stayed, about 80% of the guests were overseas tour groups (mainly from Europe), which made it feel like traveling abroad—I personally enjoyed it. Breakfast options are limited, but since I wanted to try various foods in Kyoto, it was more than enough. Overall, it’s close to the station, has a large public bath, a convenience store nearby, and clean Rooms. Great value for money—next time I’d like to make a Reservation for an upgraded Room and return.

Convenient access
It was very convenient as a Hotel for an overnight stay before sightseeing, with easy access to Kyoto Station and close to shopping and dining areas. It was also clean, and the service was excellent. Thank you very much.

A stylish and cozy Hotel
As you enter through the front door, you’re welcomed by a pleasant fragrance. The Room is compact yet stylish, with the toilet, bath, and sink area separated. It was clean and easy to use. It’s also conveniently close to the Hachijo Exit—great for shopping for souvenirs or heading out by bus. I appreciated being able to enjoy coffee in the lobby lounge or take it back to my Room. It was a comfortable Hotel I’d love to stay at again.

Clean and quiet.
Although it’s close to the station, it’s quiet and clean. The complimentary coffee is delicious, the breakfast selection is extensive, and I’d like to stay here again.

We had a comfortable stay.
It’s a clean Hotel and conveniently located near the station. I liked that the bathroom and toilet were separate. The staff were also very helpful. One thing I noticed was that there was only one power outlet by the bed, so I wished there had been another one for charging my phone. The free drinks were also a nice touch.

It was the worst.
This was my first time using this accommodation, and it was the worst experience as described in the title. I never expected a hotel bearing the name of RIHGA Royal, a long-established luxury hotel in Kansai, to be this terrible. Perhaps due to its location in Kyoto, reservations come in regardless of quality, and occupancy rates are maintained. However, it was still unacceptable. Below are some particularly concerning points: - We used two rooms, but both had extremely poor bed-making. It made me question whether bed-making had even been done at all. Not only that, but the bed skirts on the frames were completely misaligned, and even the foot of the beds looked awful. The pillows were also messy; I have never seen such dirty bed-making before. I was shocked that these rooms were cleaned and checked before being offered for reservation. - Upon checking into our room right after arrival, we found that the toilet seat was left up. This is simply unacceptable for an accommodation facility—it shows complete disregard for hospitality and cleaning standards. It is truly disappointing to see a new hotel under the long-loved RIHGA Royal Group operating in such a state.

The bath with a washing area was excellent.
Located just a few minutes' walk from Kyoto Station, this accommodation offers a convenient location with an Aeon mall within walking distance. Being on the south side of the station, it is less crowded and quiet at night. The accommodation features a large public bath; however, even when the monitor indicates availability, lockers and washing areas may be nearly full. Due to some issues in the public bath area, we opted to use the room's private bath instead. The spacious bathtub and relatively strong shower pressure were perfect for relieving daily fatigue from sightseeing—very comfortable overall. The bed was equipped with two pillows of different firmness levels and cushions, providing excellent comfort. Amenities were replenished daily and included almost everything needed for a stay. Apart from finding long hair that wasn’t ours during cleaning once, cleanliness was well-maintained throughout our stay. On the downside, one of the toilet paper holders had a sticker instructing usage from one side only; this felt unnecessary for travelers unfamiliar with such practices—it would have been better placed on the wall instead of obstructing use. While recycling efforts like reusing hairbrushes are commendable, items left in designated boxes seemed to remain there indefinitely without being addressed further. Storage space in rooms was limited, making it less suitable for long-term stays with lots of luggage. Additionally, trash bins were too small; they often overflowed or left items like empty plastic bottles uncollected if hidden out of sight. The coin laundry facilities were limited in number and frequently occupied; we often found ourselves waiting as others finished their loads. During New Year’s holidays (January 1st–3rd), breakfast costs increased to 4,000 yen per person—a price point that led us to skip it. Despite these minor inconveniences during our multiple-night stay, nights remained consistently quiet and comfortable throughout our visit. We would gladly return given another opportunity—highly recommended accommodation!

The room and the hot...
The room and the hotel itself did not feel cheap at all and were excellent. I had a Multiple Night Stay and was glad I chose this place. It would have been nice if there were more amenities like hair ties or shower caps in the large public bath.

The rooms and the la...
The rooms and the large public bath were thoroughly cleaned and very clean. The Room had a separate toilet, bathroom, and washroom, making it very convenient to use. However, when using the hairdryer in the Room, I found dust accumulated in its bag, which was disappointing. The lounge offered a drink bar with snacks available during limited hours, which was highly satisfying. Since only paper cups were provided at the drink bar, I thought it might be better to have glasses or reusable cups available from an environmental perspective. I would love to stay here again when visiting Kyoto.

The dinner bento box is exquisite.
I booked a plan where I could enjoy a steak bento in the room! This was a spontaneous solo trip, and when I searched for a room, I luckily found availability at this hotel in Kyoto under great conditions—what a perfect choice! The steak bento was luxurious and absolutely delicious. The room was very elegant, and I also enjoyed the large public bath! Although it went slightly over budget, I was extremely satisfied.

It was comfortable.
It was helpful that you could store our luggage before check-in and after check-out. The large public bath, which was a highlight of the accommodation, was relaxing and enjoyable. The staff were all polite, and we had a pleasant stay. The room slippers could have been better in appearance—disposable ones might have been preferable. Breakfast was good, but the three-tiered set felt unnecessary. It also seemed different from the photos. Overall, we had a comfortable stay and were happy with our choice. Thank you very much.

I chose this Hotel b...
I chose this Hotel because of its convenient access from Kyoto Station and the good Reviews. The Room was just as I hoped, and since it was a special occasion, I received a gift from the Hotel. I was very touched by their thoughtfulness. The highlight was definitely the meals. The three-tiered bento was delicious, and I especially loved the chef's handmade vegetable juice. The Room was also very comfortable and relaxing. If I had to mention one thing, I felt it would have been nice to have a few more power outlets. I would love to stay here again when I visit Kyoto. Thank you very much!

A wonderful Hotel where you can experience the charm of Kyoto!
I stayed for a solo summer reward stay after being impressed during my first visit this spring. Since it was also for a special occasion, I requested glasses and cake plates, and the hotel kindly prepared lovely items in the room, which deeply touched me. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness. This time, my purpose was to enjoy the hotel stay itself, so I visited the bar at night and relaxed in the lounge even after check-out to savor the hotel's atmosphere. The three-tiered breakfast was delicious and highly recommended. The interior has a very calming ambiance, making it feel like my personal hideaway—I look forward to visiting again occasionally.

Convenient Hotel Near the Station
I stayed for one night on a weekday. Thank you very much. The facilities were well-equipped, but I felt that improving the customer service would make it even better. For example, in the restaurant, staff could promptly greet guests upon their arrival. Without guidance, it was unclear what to do until we asked for assistance ourselves. Additionally, while breakfast was served in a three-tiered box as mentioned, I only understood this because a staff member explained it to me. The arrangement was somewhat confusing and without any explanation, guests might hesitate to take anything. In fact, many international guests seemed unaware and few took advantage of it. It felt like such a waste of an opportunity. Perhaps staff could check with guests when they are seated and offer table service for those who prefer it. Overall, the customer service left a disappointing impression; however, with improvements in this area, I believe this accommodation could become truly wonderful. As for the location itself, being close to the Shinkansen station is very convenient and highly appreciated!

There are hygiene issues.
I chose this hotel for its convenient location near Kyoto Station. However, I have never stayed at a hotel with such hygiene issues before. First, there was dust accumulated on the wall-mounted picture. Additionally, the ventilation part of the sliding door in the bathroom also had dust buildup. This level of dust suggests it hasn't been cleaned for a long time. Furthermore, the indoor slippers were labeled as disinfected but were so worn out and reused that I couldn't bring myself to wear them, which was inconvenient. As for breakfast, the three-tiered meal box was very delicious. However, many dishes like bowls showed noticeable scratches and deterioration, which made me feel that rising costs must be challenging for them to manage. What surprised me most was seeing staff cleaning tables after meals by brushing crumbs off onto the floor and saying it’s fine like that. Overall, I felt there were significant hygiene issues at this hotel.

It was full of surprises.
As expected from the Liga brand, it was wonderful. The Room felt elegant and luxurious, with no sense of tightness despite its compact size. The highlight was the bathroom with a washing area! Its spaciousness and comfort were unbelievable for a Business Hotel, leaving me pleasantly surprised. I had been admiring this place since its opening, so my expectations were high—but they were exceeded in the best way possible. The bar next to the front desk was calm and reasonably priced. I initially went in just to sober up after dining out but ended up ordering more drinks because of the atmosphere. Above all, both the bar staff and front desk team were approachable and easy to talk to, making me feel at ease. Everyone was truly wonderful. There were some points where I wondered if housekeeping might have been busy, but I look forward to improvements next time! For me, this is not a price range I can easily afford regularly; however, splurging this time was worth it! It added another great memory for me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting such a lovely experience!

The in-house music is excellent.
This was my first stay. When I entered the room, a guitar solo was playing on the TV. I enjoyed listening to the entire playlist as background music during my stay, and "Hyakumanben" was my favorite. The SOU・SOU loungewear was also very comfortable to wear. I visited the large public bath but didn’t use it because it was crowded. However, I found the sink in the changing area too high, making it difficult to wash my hands. The bathroom in the room had a washing area and a spacious bathtub, so I could relax comfortably there. I went out at night for Yoiyama sightseeing and couldn’t visit the bar, but Tansan Shuzo sake looked delicious—I’d love to try it next time if I have a chance. Lastly, thank you for the 5th-anniversary commemorative gift!

I always stay here whenever I visit Kyoto. This time, I stayed in a single room, and it was very comfortable. One of the highlights for me is the delightful breakfast served in a traditional box. While some foreign guests may opt for something simple like cereal, this breakfast gives a sense of having a proper meal to start the day. I hope you continue offering it! If the contents were just a bit more colorful, I'd give even more stars!

I had an unpleasant ...
I had an unpleasant experience and do not think I will stay at this accommodation again. Here are the disappointing points: ① At check-in, I was immediately informed about the procedure for leaving the affiliated parking lot early the next morning. I felt this explanation could have been given after confirming my plans, and found the one-sided approach uncomfortable. ② During the free drink time, when trying to get juice from a machine-style drink bar, a tasteless white liquid came out instead. Even though we were confused, restaurant staff did not approach us (they were chatting with each other and ignored us). When we informed them ourselves, they confirmed that the juice had run out. We were told it would take time to prepare more and ended up choosing another drink instead. It would have been better if they checked in advance to avoid such issues. ③ In our room's toilet area, there were water droplets scattered on the floor and walls as well as streaks of liquid stains visible. This made me feel it hadn’t been cleaned properly, so I reported it to reception. After some time, staff came to inspect and clean it thoroughly; afterward it looked much better—confirming my suspicion that cleaning had initially been insufficient. ④ Upon entering our room’s wooden floor area (about 2–2.5 meters), there appeared to be footprints-like marks along with greasy smudges or large streaks of liquid residue present which made me very uncomfortable leading us requesting another room switch yet even newly assigned space shared similar conditions despite being pre-wiped beforehand according-to-staff remarks. ⑤ Due-to above-mentioned hygiene concerns regarding floors/toilets etc., wearing slippers seemed necessary however provided indoor-use-only-slippers showed significant wear/tear making their usage unappealing despite labeled disinfected status thus disposable alternatives should ideally come pre-stocked inside rooms while observing guests utilizing same pairs outdoors further added discomfort overall impression-wise ⑥ Attempting self-checkout via automated kiosk failed repeatedly until front-desk personnel belatedly noticed intervening explaining manual counter-service-only active during specific hours lacking prior signage clarity causing unnecessary confusion/delays unnecessarily Having stayed across comparable-class hotels previously without encountering such disappointments before reading reviews revealing recurring complaints unresolved suggests lackluster management oversight persists

The lounge is a great convenience.
Breakfast is served in a three-tiered box and a half-buffet style. While the boxed meal was delicious, the buffet felt slightly lacking due to its limited variety and simple menu. The lounge and large public bath are great for relaxation. The lounge, in particular, offers herbal teas and snacks, and it was very convenient to be able to use it until around 5 PM even after checkout. Thank you for your hospitality.

It was a comfortable Hotel.
Conveniently located near the station and with a large public bath, I was able to stay comfortably without feeling cramped in the Room. If I had to ask for one thing, I wish the Room lighting had been a bit brighter. They also kindly allowed me to use the lounge after check-out, which let me rest my tired feet. Thank you very much.

I would like to stay again.
We stayed for two nights. As he wanted to visit Nara, I chose this hotel because I had stayed here before and thought it would be a great place for adults to relax. The entrance and lobby decorations were chic and calming, the room had separate bath and toilet facilities, was simple yet functional, allowing us to spend our time comfortably. For dinner at the restaurant, we enjoyed salad and pasta. The salad came with two types of mousse-like dressings on the side, which were very delicious. The pasta was perfectly seasoned as well, making it wonderful to enjoy a relaxed meal within the hotel. The stylish in-house wear and footwear by SOU・SOU added charm, while the tea sweets served with coffee were from Gion Tsujiri—offering touches of Kyoto throughout our stay. The hospitality from both front desk staff and restaurant service truly reflected the high standards of RIHGA Royal Group; he was so impressed that he said he'd love to stay here again. One small suggestion would be providing something like hooks or racks for hanging bath towels—it would be very helpful!

A very convenient Hotel.
Conveniently located near Kyoto Station, the Hotel features a large public bath and is very user-friendly. The coin locker system for luggage storage is convenient. The breakfast buffet with traditional multi-tiered boxes is excellent. Although the Room did not offer a view from the window, it provides great value for money and high satisfaction.

Some hygiene issues
Overall, the evaluation is good, but there were some hygiene issues that left dissatisfaction. - Room slippers are rubber sandals. - Severe dirt on the flooring. Personally, I evaluate hygiene based on areas like bathtubs and water facilities, which had no issues; however, these two points were highly disappointing. The black rubber sandals appeared dirty due to white deterioration and also absorb bacteria and odors. Without knowing how they are disinfected, they are not wearable. Although the room seemed reasonably comfortable to stay in, these factors left a very negative impression. It might be part of a lower-tier series of RIHGA Royal Hotels, but I may not choose it again next time.

Luxurious space
Upon receiving the card key, I imagined a Business Hotel, but upon entering the Room, I was greeted by a wonderful information display on the TV. Despite the affordable price, it was an excellent presentation. The cleaning was thorough and outstanding.

Old hotels often have poor air conditioning, large temperature fluctuations, and noisy environments, but this Hotel is new, quiet, and comfortable. It offers top-class comfort among Hotels near Kyoto Station.

Adult School Trip Part 2
Following our trip to Nara last December, we traveled to Kyoto this winter. The Hotel had separate water facilities; I used the Room's bath while my wife enjoyed the large public bath. For breakfast the next morning, I was concerned that a three-tiered meal might be insufficient since I eat a lot, but there were plenty of dishes and I was satisfied with being able to choose what I liked from the central buffet. The service was excellent, and above all, it was very helpful that they stored our luggage before check-in and after check-out. Located near Kyoto Station, on the first day we visited the western side by subway (Toji Temple, Kinkaku-ji Temple) and on the second day we visited the eastern side (Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Ginkaku-ji Temple), using city buses for getting around and returning via Karasuma Subway Line which was very convenient. (On the second day we used an included one-day pass for both city buses and subways.) It was a trip from Hokuriku but with good weather in Kyoto it became a wonderful memory.

I stayed with the Plan that includes a steak bento.
I used a single room. I was satisfied with the room, but I was very disappointed with the bento. I was surprised when I opened the lid! The meat was far from the doneness in the photo, and when I took a bite, it was dry and very unappetizing, which was disappointing. How can such meat be served? It is very disappointing.
