Hotel Sealuck Pal Utsunomiya

I had a comfortable time. For a business hotel single room, it was spacious and the sake server was excellent! With breakfast included, I was able to eat well from the morning. You can drink in your room. After check-in, I was also able to enjoy coffee from the cafeteria corner in front of the front desk, which was really appreciated. I would like to repeat my stay if I have another opportunity.

Upon arriving in a torrential downpour, there were towels at the entrance with a note saying "Please feel free to use." This hotel is considerate and kind-hearted. There were also rental umbrellas available, which I used when going out for dinner. The explanation at check-in was friendly and very pleasant (at check-out, you just drop the key card into a transparent box, so no face-to-face interaction is necessary). Since it was a smoking room, the floor itself had a tobacco smell (I don't smoke myself), but it was within an acceptable range. Basically, it was clean. The cleaning staff were also very responsive and adjusted their timing (as I stayed multiple nights), and the cleaning was perfect. The breakfast had limited variety, but the types of bread and side dishes changed daily (I was only there for two days), and it was well-balanced. Coffee from the coffee machine at places like this is usually not good, but here it was delicious. There were two types of vinegar drinks available as welcome drinks, and they also changed daily (though I only stayed two nights, they were all delicious). The dining area wasn't large and was crowded, but there was no trouble finding a seat, and the flow of people wasn't too obstructive, so it wasn't too stressful. Interestingly, there was a beer server and a sake and wine server corner. Beer was 300 yen for a small mug (nice! I drank twice), and there were three types each of sake and wine (I tried two of each). It's happiness to get excited over something like this. It's close to the LRT station, and Bell Mall (though I didn't go) is across the road, and I enjoyed the large bath at the attached super sento at night. There seemed to be good dining options nearby, including ramen shops and Okinawan restaurants. I chose teppanyaki, which was a great choice with excellent service. Although there were some troubles, like the Oya History Museum being too crowded and the Utsunomiya Museum of Art being closed (though I relaxed in the garden), I was able to visit two gyoza places and had an enjoyable summer sightseeing in Utsunomiya.
