    It was really great.

Clean, stylish, spacious, and close to the station—easy to find. It’s perfect! If I had to say one thing, having a chair and desk would be helpful for someone with back pain, but that’s probably asking too much. I’d love to stay here again when I visit Komatsu.

Functionally renovated while preserving the charm of a traditional machiya townhouse.

It was a wonderful Hotel that blended seamlessly into the town along Komatsu’s old Hokuriku Kaido. The service struck just the right balance, and everything—from the amenities to the roasted green tea—was satisfying down to the smallest details. I also appreciated having an on-site café. I’d love to visit again and use Komado as a base for exploring Komatsu’s culture.

    It was disappointing...

It was disappointing that the café downstairs from 9:30 only offered coffee and similar drinks, with no food, but the Accommodation was wonderful.

    It was very clean.

I saw NIPPONIA on “Gacchiri Monday!” and had been wanting to visit, so I made a Reservation when I found one in Komatsu. I arrived in Komatsu on an evening flight, so check-in ended up being after 10:00 p.m., but I was able to use the self check-in process that had been sent to me in advance. The Room made great use of the building’s age, and the bathroom facilities had been renovated, so everything felt clean and very comfortable. I checked out before 9:00 a.m., so unfortunately it was also self check-out, but there were no issues at all. Personally, I loved the pajamas provided—they were incredibly comfortable. There are many Business Hotels around Komatsu Station, so if you want a more spacious stay with separate bath and toilet, I recommend this Hotel.

    On snowy days...

I stayed for two nights on a snowy day and spent each night in a different Room. The renovated traditional house has a wonderful charm, and it pairs perfectly with the snowy scenery—I could feel a special atmosphere from the moment I arrived. I was surprised to find such a stylish and lovely Accommodation in Komatsu. This stay was timed with my birthday, and being able to spend it in such a comfortable space became a great memory. On the first floor, there is also a gallery-like space and an attached café. The atmosphere was great, and it was fun during my stay—I even felt like I could pick out some souvenirs. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as having heating equipment provided in the bathroom. It made the stay comfortable even in the cold season. Since it becomes unstaffed at night and in the morning, I think it’s reassuring to let them know in advance if you have any requests or anything you’d like handled ahead of time. I highly recommend this Accommodation to anyone looking for a place to stay in Komatsu. It also felt conveniently located with relatively easy access from the station.

An Accommodation where you can experience the memories of a traditional machiya townhouse and a quiet sense of comfort

This Accommodation has been lovingly and carefully renovated, preserving the memories of a traditional machiya townhouse. Rather than simply leaving it old as it is, it also ensures a truly comfortable stay, and you can feel the attention to detail throughout. The way the light comes in is beautiful, and I felt at ease for my entire stay. The staff were stylish and had a wonderful presence, and the coffee they brewed for me was excellent. I also loved the roasted bancha tea in the room; when I heard it was sold nearby, I ended up buying two bags as souvenirs. The area around the Accommodation was also memorable—the preserved hikiyama festival float was even more impressive than I imagined. Next time, I would love to visit during festival season. It was also a delightful discovery to learn that such a town exists just a short trip from Kanazawa.

I stayed here on a cold winter day. Since it was after 6:00 PM, I was able to self-check in on an iPad, which was very convenient. The Room was spacious and had a garden, and having access to the lounge is another plus. If you arrive early or depart late, you can also use the café. (In my case, I arrived late and left early.)

    Wonderful accommodation!

I stayed at “komado,” a beautifully renovated machiya townhouse, for one night starting 2/16. Although I’m a local from Komatsu, Hokkokudori Town—where this Accommodation is located—was a place I’d long wanted to take my time exploring. The streetscape was full of charm and exactly my style. The interior design and amenities were wonderful, and the roasted green tea (hojicha) in the Room had a gentle flavor and was delicious. From the tokonoma alcove arrangement to the garden view from the veranda, even down to the teapot and teacups—everything was understated yet beautiful, and truly relaxing. The first-floor reception/cafe also has a gallery with many works by local artists as well as plenty of books. It was such a lovely space. From the time of Reservation, they kindly guided me about parking and—since I chose a Plan without meals—recommended several nearby restaurants and even made reservations for me. Their thoughtful support was incredibly helpful. The restaurant they introduced was friendly, and I was very satisfied with the food. Thank you for such a wonderful time. If I may make one small (luxurious) request: because the lighting is quite soft, it might be nice to have an option like a brighter reading light so older guests (with presbyopia) can enjoy reading the gallery books more comfortably. I was completely satisfied with this Accommodation! Thank you very much.

I stayed on a weekday Friday. As I checked in late, there were no staff and I used self check-in. There were no other guests that day either, so the Hotel was completely empty—it felt like being at home, which was a strange experience. The Facility is surprisingly spacious, with art displayed throughout, giving it a stylish feel. The amenities and equipment are simple yet chic and well coordinated, which is lovely. Highly recommended.

    Stunning views

The building itself is a traditional machiya and was truly wonderful. Being able to see the garden from the window—and the light snowfall—made it even more special. I stayed alone, but it was spacious and comfortable, and next time I’d love to stay here with someone.
