Kyu-tei: An Onsen Inn with Detached Rooms

We sincerely appreciate the exceptional hospitality we received during our stay. From the warm welcome to the relaxing space of our Room, the wooden roof design and open-air bath in our Room offered a perfect blend of Japanese tradition and modern style, allowing us to enjoy a truly tranquil time. The cuisine was exquisite, featuring a delightful combination of Japanese dishes with French influences. Despite being in a mountainous area, we were able to savor fresh seafood such as sashimi, which was outstanding. The prawn poêlé and porcini risotto were also exceptional and made for an incredibly satisfying course meal—highly recommended! The Onsen water, rich in metasilicic acid for beautiful skin, was thoroughly enjoyable both in our private open-air bath and the spacious public outdoor baths. With top-quality Onsen water, superb cuisine, warm hospitality, and an overall satisfying experience, this stay exceeded all expectations. For those seeking a peaceful retreat where you can forget time while enjoying delicious food and relaxing in Onsen baths with peace of mind—this is highly recommended. This Accommodation was outstanding in every way—the bath, the Room, the lounge, and the dining area. The meals were beautifully presented like works of art. I did find the seasoning a little strong (since many older guests have health conditions; if your main target is middle-aged to senior guests, a slightly lighter taste might be preferable), but everything was delicious.In the dining area, another group was speaking very loudly and discussing topics inappropriate for mealtimes, which we could clearly hear (they were talking about death and illness while we were trying to enjoy our meal). That was the only disappointment. However, a female staff member who seemed to be the manager—and even the head chef—came to apologize in person the next morning for the lack of consideration in the dining area. We were also shown to a private room for breakfast. I was truly impressed that they had noticed what happened the night before and responded so thoughtfully. I would love to stay here again.
