Ryokan Kiyokawa

It was a gift trip from my wife to celebrate my birthday, visiting the Furuyu Onsen I had been curious about for a long time. I was very satisfied with the wonderful service of the staff and the sense of care in cleaning. Enjoyed two days of onsen to the fullest. The head chef seemed confident in fish dishes, and we were completely satisfied with everything from sashimi platters to grilled fish. We had checked reviews beforehand and were prepared for the amount of food, but as a senior couple, we were completely overwhelmed. At checkout, I was deeply moved by a surprise birthday gift from the proprietress. Thank you so much.While everything was satisfying, there are some suggestions: ○ It would be helpful if guides such as facility maps, emergency exit routes, and meal times could be compiled into a file placed in each room. ○ Since it’s easy to forget meal times for dinner and breakfast, it would be nice to receive them written on printed paper. ○ The course meals crafted by your proud head chef are delightful but quite large portions for seniors. If possible, creating a senior-friendly course with about 60% of the current portion size would be appreciated.This time I wanted to enjoy more drinks but couldn’t because I was too full! Apologies for making selfish requests like this!

Everything about the property was beyond imagination! First, I was surprised by how excellent the staff's hospitality was. From the welcome to carrying luggage, serving tea, and explaining the room, everything was done with care, allowing us to relax. The dinner was truly delicious from start to finish, which was surprising! However, the portions are really large, so you should come with an empty stomach! Although I couldn't finish the meal, they made rice balls and delivered them to the room. I was happy to enjoy them slowly later! Since it was January and cold at night, they provided a hot water bottle. The cleanliness of the room, the quality of service, the amount of food, and the deliciousness of the meals were all beyond imagination! I would like to use it again as a treat on a special day!
