I have been visiting every year during cherry blossom season for the past few years.

For the past few years, we’ve visited every year during cherry blossom season. This stay was comfortable as well, and my family was very pleased. The Room is clean, the amenities are well stocked, and the bath is relaxing. It would be even better if there were an Onsen or a sauna, but I know that’s probably asking too much. All of the staff are courteous, so we can stay with peace of mind. We had both dinner and breakfast, and they beautifully incorporate a sense of the season and a local Chiba touch—truly enjoyable for both the eyes and the palate. It seems many guests stay without dinner here, but I think it’s definitely worth having. We’d love to visit again if we have the chance. Prices seem to have gone up quite a bit recently, but I hope they don’t become so expensive that it’s out of reach (lol). Thank you very much.

The value of personal, hands-on support

The property’s dignified atmosphere and refined design were truly impressive. The staff’s service was warm and welcoming, making it feel not just like a “house,” but like a “home” to return to. Thank you as well for your support during this stay. I hope for an early restoration of the digital key system and further improvements to create an even more secure and comfortable environment for guests.

The Naritasan Shinshoji Temple tour is excellent.

Although it was only a one-night stay, I fully enjoyed a journey to these spiritual power spots. Thanks to the Naritasan Shinshoji Temple tour led by the Ryokan staff, I was able to appreciate the temple in a much deeper way. Hearing explanations about its origins and history, as well as its connections to kabuki, made the early-morning goma fire ritual service the next day (highly recommended!) feel even more meaningful. There were plenty of other highlights too—such as its ties to Sota Fujii in shogi, and visiting the sweet shops along the approach that he is said to like. The property is filled with photos of Danjuro and explanations of kabuki performances, which made me want to enjoy kabuki again after a long time. The food was outstanding. I’m used to high-end Japanese cuisine, but I felt the depth and richness of the dashi here were exceptional, and I was truly satisfied with every dish. It’s a shame there is no open-air bath, but the baths were very good and the service was top-level. I also plan to visit other “Wakuu” properties in the future, such as Horyuji Temple.

    HAPPY WIFE

    The service was excellent.

I stayed at the accommodation the night before departing for an overseas trip at the end of the year. During my stay, I embarrassingly forgot my dentures in the room. I realized this on the plane and contacted them, and they kindly sent them to me on my requested date after I returned (cash on delivery). They even cleaned them before sending, which I deeply appreciate. However, one thing: it was a Japanese-style room, but the futon was thin, so both my husband and I had back pain and couldn't sleep well. Fortunately, we had business class seats to Europe starting from the next day, but if it had been economy class, it would have been tough. I hope this can be improved in the future.

    I had a relaxing stay.

This was my second stay. This time, I stayed with three people and reserved a triple room. The room had three proper beds instead of an extra bed, making it very comfortable. The Japanese-modern interior design made this accommodation feel very relaxing. I was particularly intrigued by the large public bath that uses "Black Silica," which I personally find effective from my experience with accessories made of it. Both the room and the public bath were impeccably clean, providing a great sense of comfort and cleanliness. We opted for breakfast only, which was a hearty Japanese set meal that was delicious and satisfying in every way. One point for improvement would be the limited room service menu, as it only offers drinks; having some light snacks available would be appreciated. Since there are no convenience stores nearby and local shops close early, it's not easy to go out to buy something quickly. Additionally, there are no vending machines or ice makers within the hotel, which is one inconvenience I also noticed during my previous stay. The loungewear provided is comfortable like samue (traditional workwear), but I hope larger sizes can be prepared as well. Other than these points, this accommodation is incredibly relaxing and wonderful! I will definitely stay here again!

    It was a quiet accommodation.

I visited with my mother on Friday. It took about 15 minutes to walk from Narita Station while pulling a small suitcase. The path has been nicely paved in recent years, making it easy to walk, but the narrow width may cause congestion, especially on weekends. If you have large luggage, using a taxi or carrying a backpack is recommended. The Room was changed from a Japanese-style room with a view of the path to a Western-style room, so we couldn't enjoy the scenery but had a very quiet and relaxing stay. The bathroom was spacious and comfortable to use. Although I used the public bath as well, if your Room has its own shower or bath, that should suffice. Since Naritasan Temple closes at 4 PM, after arriving at 3 PM we enjoyed tracing sutras at the Hotel and spent some leisurely time there. The location is ideal for visiting Naritasan Temple as it’s only about a 2-minute walk away. Be aware that the office for collecting temple stamps often doesn’t open early in the morning. Visiting early allowed us to experience peaceful and serene moments with fewer people around. As our stay was No Meals Included, we ordered an eel bento box via LINE from Kawatoyo across the street and picked it up ourselves—just about a one-minute walk from the Hotel which was very convenient. Note that shops around this area close early in the evening; if you opt not to include meals during your stay, planning ahead is recommended. Next time I would love to try out Hotel's signature cuisine as well! Thank you for taking care of us during our visit!

Excellent service made for a fulfilling visit to Naritasan.

After golfing in Narita, we stayed overnight and visited Naritasan Temple the next day as part of our plan. We attended the early morning Goma ritual starting at 6:00 AM, leaving while it was still dark, but the close proximity made it very convenient. The staff were incredibly kind, providing hand warmers for the cold weather and explaining about Naritasan Temple. We planned to have eel at "Kawatoyo" for lunch, and since it was close to the hotel, we were able to get a ticket early in the morning. Thanks to that, we enjoyed delicious eel with minimal waiting time during lunch hours. This was all possible because we stayed here. Including its location, this is truly the best accommodation for visiting Naritasan Temple! Thank you very much!

    Satisfaction

A wonderful Hotel on the Narita path. You can see the attention to detail from the interior to the Room amenities. It was excellent. The bath was also amazing, deserving a 5-star rating. I will stay again during the festival season.

    Standard.

The location is excellent, and the hotel interior is clean. However, the concierge desk was cluttered, and the staff handling check-in felt like regular employees rather than dedicated professionals. It was nice to take a leisurely walk along the quiet approach early in the morning or at night for sightseeing. There was no affiliated parking lot, so we had to pay separately on our own, and there wasn’t a thorough explanation about this either. While it’s an accommodation with a great location, I believe more effort could be made in its management.

    The Naritasan guided...

The Naritasan guided tour I was looking forward to was unavailable due to staff shortages. While I understand the challenges of managing resources in these times, I had made the reservation weeks in advance, so being informed on the day that it cannot be accommodated felt disappointing. With such a great location and wonderful facilities, it was a bit (or quite) unfortunate.

I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

I have stayed at this Hotel once a year for the past few years. It is small, but the staff are attentive, the cleaning is thorough, and it provides a very comfortable and pleasant space. The meals in the morning and evening reflect seasonal flavors and convey the dedication of the Hotel and its chefs. The amenities are sufficient as well. Although it feels like there are fewer complimentary drinks in the Room's refrigerator than before, they are still appreciated. I would love to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you very much!

    Accommodation with Delicious Meals

The JR Narita Station is just a short taxi ride away. I read in the reviews on Jalan about a welcome drink with matcha and sweets, but unfortunately, it was not available this time. The room is simple. Some dust flew out from the closet. The meals were excellent as per their reputation, and the miso soup in the morning was truly delicious. People around Naritasan are warm and kind. This trip made me appreciate the charm of Chiba Prefecture. Thank you very much!

    It was a good accommodation.

The guided tour of Naritasan was excellent. I would like to thank the staff who provided the guidance. The accommodation was conveniently located near Naritasan, and although it required a bit of walking from the station, enjoying the shops along the approach made it completely unbothersome. Positive points: The room was new, clean, and well-equipped with amenities and complimentary drinks in the refrigerator. The bed and pillow firmness were just right, allowing for a comfortable sleep. As it was a small-scale accommodation, it felt calm and quiet, which was very pleasant. Negative points: The dining room felt like a conference room. Perhaps due to oversized tables or distant seating arrangements, it didn’t create an atmosphere conducive to enjoying meals together. While the dishes were carefully prepared and staff members were polite, there were mistakes in explaining dishes or excuses such as being on their second day of work instead of providing proper explanations; more training would be appreciated. Additionally, during meals, I felt conscious of being watched by staff members but received no assistance when soup spilled accidentally. Overall, this is an excellent accommodation that I would love to visit again if given another opportunity. Thank you very much!

    Surprisingly inconvenient

The road in front of the store has traffic restrictions and the parking lot is not very good. There were no negative points about the guest room. As for the meal, it was very disappointing. I had too high expectations, which is my problem.

    Thank you very much.

The other day, I stayed at the property for the first time. Thank you very much for your courteous service. The meals were very delicious and I was quite satisfied, but since I prefer lighter flavors, I thought the overall taste of the dishes might be a bit strong and could vary depending on personal preference. Personally, I felt that the portion size of rice at breakfast could have been smaller. It was nice to be able to choose meal times and enjoy them accordingly. Regarding the public bath hours, although it may depend on one's schedule, I couldn't relax as much as I'd like, so it would be great if they could extend those hours a bit more. Having a vending machine would also be appreciated. Being very close to Naritasan Shinshoji Temple (Naritasan Shinshoji), it was wonderful to spend time in an area where you can buy souvenirs or eat eel dishes along the street nearby. Thank you very much once again for this experience.

    A hidden gem for relaxation

We obtained a ticket for the eel restaurant and had dinner at a nearby place, which was very convenient since it was raining. The property is very close to Shinshoji Temple and located on a charming Omotesando street. As it has only been open for three years, the interior is clean, and it seems to attract a calm domestic clientele rather than international guests, making for a very quiet and comfortable stay with attentive service. The breakfast was meticulously prepared, with fluffy and delicious rice. This property is honestly a hidden gem for a relaxing soak in the bath and a leisurely stay. Narita is close to Tokyo, making it an ideal place to refresh in a tranquil atmosphere. Although a small detail, the tea in the room was delicious, the amenities were well-stocked, and the complimentary items in the refrigerator (such as daiginjo sake, beer, and soda) were much appreciated. Even when staying at famous hotels, the presence of international guests often made it feel less relaxing, but here, even my critical elderly mother expressed a desire to return, indicating a truly relaxing and satisfying experience for both of us. If possible, extending the morning bath hours until 10 AM would allow for another soak after breakfast. Please consider this. Additionally, the Diamond Member gift was unique to the property and delightful. The combination of nearby eel, Shinshoji Temple, and Waku was excellent. The dinner had a great reputation, so next time, I plan to have eel for lunch and enjoy dinner here! Thank you to all the staff.

    Very satisfied.

The Room was spacious, and the bath was well-maintained, which made me very satisfied. I didn't know there were so many shops on the approach to Naritasan, so next time I would like to come with a more relaxed Plan. However, since it is a bit far from the station, I thought it would be better to come with easy-to-carry luggage. The morning walk unique to the approach was lively from the morning and was enjoyable. There wasn't a convenience store nearby, so I thought it would be better to do shopping in front of the station, but I was happy that the drinks in the Room were complimentary.

    New Year's Stays

I received a call the day before, and they explained in detail about the traffic conditions and parking around the hotel. The hotel was new and clean, with complimentary drinks in the refrigerator, and the room amenities, including a Dyson hairdryer, were well-equipped. The bath might be a bit small, but overall, I was very satisfied. However, due to the large number of visitors for the New Year's visit, there were many road closures and heavy traffic jams on the way to the hotel, and it was extremely crowded, making it difficult to walk from the parking lot about a 10-minute walk away. If you are with elderly people, it is advisable to avoid staying during the New Year. Otherwise, it was a wonderful hotel close to Shinshoji Temple.

    The dinner is wonderfully delicious.

This is my second visit. The meals are incredibly delicate and delicious. There is an elegance that doesn't show the effort put into them. Additionally, the staff's attention to the utensils is meticulous, providing a sense of security. The explanations and small conversations each time they brought the dishes made for an enjoyable and enriching experience. The Room is spacious and relaxing. I would like to stay again.

    Compact Stays

I stayed in a twin room with a breakfast plan. The staff were kind, the bath was comfortable, and the breakfast was very delicious. The raised bed was also comfortable. There was an impression that there were many foreigners. Points of concern: The room's air conditioner was not maintained, and it was full of white dust and dirt. The black air conditioner matched the room's atmosphere, so the dirt stood out even more. I was surprised when I peeked and immediately turned it off. There were lotions and milks in the large bath, but not in the room, and I was troubled because I didn't bring any. The dining area was strangely empty and very inorganic, making it uncomfortable. The room and hallway had a unique smell. The inclusive refrigerator drinks included alcohol, but I didn't drink any. Overall, it's a good property, but I feel once is enough to stay. If you like Kabuki, it might be interesting to visit once.

For my second stay, I chose a Japanese-style room.

Last fall, I stayed in a standard twin room without a view, so this time I chose a reasonably priced Japanese-style room for the view of the approach. The approach side has a full window, providing a sense of openness, and the room, which can accommodate up to four people, is long horizontally, but it's spacious enough for two people. It's a shower-only type, but there's a large public bath, so that's not an issue. However, the room's furnishings are quite simple or plain, giving a rather stark impression for a ryokan's Japanese-style room. There's no alcove, and instead of natural tatami, it has Ryukyu tatami-style floor mats, a large TV, simple floor chairs, and a small table. Personally, it felt more like a lodging or temple lodging room. The main reason for this impression was the thinness of the futon. It was like a bed pad about 10 centimeters thick, and it didn't seem to be a functional mat either. If you go expecting the fluffy futons of a ryokan, you might be surprised. I ended up stacking an extra futon to sleep, but even then, the hardness of the tatami was directly felt, reminding me of a school trip from long ago. The floor chairs were also the type with a square sponge cushion firmly fixed, about 10 centimeters high. The sponge was flimsy, and the seating comfort wasn't great, making it tough to spend long hours. It would have been nice to have a thicker, more solid cushion or a slightly higher chair or sofa to relax while watching people pass by on the approach. Well, I suppose all these issues would be resolved by staying in the "Approach View Suite" next door, but due to its luxurious design and spaciousness, the price is... If there were options to make the stay a bit more comfortable, I would like to use the Japanese-style room again next time. Since my companion had an early morning departure, I was the only one who had breakfast, and the quality remained high. The large public bath was always empty, and I could use it privately whenever I went. Perhaps because it was the last day of a long weekend, there seemed to be few guests, allowing for a relaxed stay. I was also pleased that the service was not just manual-based but had a somewhat simple and heartwarming touch. Thank you for taking care of us.

The portions of the meals were large, and it felt hectic.

We are a couple in our 50s who stay at a hot spring inn once a month. Although this place is not a hot spring, we decided to stay here because of its high reviews for visiting Naritasan Shinshoji Temple. The dinner portions were too large for us. Even though it was a weekday stay and not crowded, the next dish was served while we were still eating, and we felt pressured to finish the meal in an hour and a half, which was hectic. We came to relax, so we would like to enjoy dinner leisurely for at least two hours. The explanation of the meal was also businesslike, and it was disappointing that even when our water or tea was empty, they wouldn't refill it unless we asked. There was no facial cleanser in the bathroom, and it was also disappointing that there were no amenities for women in the room. We've tried various inns, and we've never encountered such a situation before, so it was surprising. There was no particular guidance for a tour of the facility, and we couldn't see the kabuki costumes as shown in the photos, which was disappointing given our high expectations. Although this turned out to be a harsh comment, I think the room was well-cleaned and tidy.

A relaxing space and delicious kaiseki cuisine

It was a fulfilling time with a cozy room, kaiseki cuisine where you can feel the attention to detail in each dish, and activities that entertain the guests. When I used the large public bath first thing in the morning, I was a little concerned about the dirt on the washbasin, but the bath itself was pleasant. The food was delicious, so I definitely want to revisit with a dinner and breakfast plan next time. (I will apply for the Naritasan pilgrimage tour for the second time!!) Thank you for your consideration, including the guest room!

Stay during the Narita Gion Festival

I visited with my wife. Thanks to the attentiveness of the staff, we were able to have a pleasant stay. The room was clean, and the interior had a calming atmosphere. What stood out the most was the Kyoto cuisine, which was exceptionally delicious compared to other hotels and inns. A bit disappointing was that due to the Narita Gion Festival starting the next day, we couldn't enjoy the slideshow or the tour of the Naritasan temple grounds. Also, the parking lot was a bit far, and since it was a round trip on foot, it would have been nice to have a shuttle service. However, the festival was lively, and we thoroughly enjoyed it for the first time in a while.
