    Luxury

It was a wonderful Hotel with excellent hospitality and a convenient location close to the station. I chose the Japanese breakfast, and there were so many side dishes that I couldn’t finish them all. It might be even better with a few more options.

This is a Hotel I’d like to stay at again.

Thank you for taking care of us for one night. The staff were very courteous, and it was a comfortable stay. I usually choose a Hotel based on having a spacious Room and separate bathtub and shower, and this exceeded my expectations. The drinks in the refrigerator were complimentary, and I was also happy to receive alcohol and snacks as an IKYU perk. If it had been a bit warmer, I think it would have been nice to enjoy them on the terrace while looking out at the sea. However, there was an odor in the toilet, and quite a bit of dust had accumulated behind the TV—I wiped it off when moving the screen—so I deducted one star for facilities. For dinner, I asked to make only a seat Reservation on the day we arrived. Every dish was delicious, and the timing of service was perfect, so we could enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. That said, since the entrance used by guests dining on the terrace was right next to our table, cold air came in whenever staff went in and out, and both the chill and noise bothered me; I probably should have asked to change seats. Other than that, the atmosphere was great and we could dine comfortably. Also, Shirasuya is about a 5-minute walk away—we arrived before opening time and got in without waiting. We were able to try fresh raw shirasu as well. This time we could only stay for one night, but next time I’d like to stay longer.

Solo trip for a woman in her mid-50s

I stayed for two nights in March in the Superior King with Breakfast (with Terrace) (Double), a Room with a full blue accent wall that made it feel like being under the sea. It’s in a great location, just steps from the Enoden station. The small east-facing terrace was wonderful. The morning sun filtering through the sheer curtains was beautiful, and afternoon naps were perfect when the sun moved south and the Room became pleasantly dim. When I came back hungry, I stopped by the soba restaurant on the first floor (it was full) and asked them to let me know when a table opened up. After resting for a bit, they called to say they had one. The zaru soba, tempura, and sake were excellent. There were two kinds of complimentary craft beer—perfect for slowly unwinding after walking around Kamakura. Then I slipped between crisp, smooth white sheets and drifted off for a while. It was such a comfortable Room where I could relax without worrying about anyone else. The rooftop area with 360-degree views was also great—I brought up beer from my Room—and the contrast between traffic jams and dusk was striking. Everyone at the Hotel was kind and warm. Next time, I’d love to stay in this Room again.

I stayed at HOTEL AO KANAZAWA last month and had such a wonderful experience that I decided to visit the Kamakura location as well. I was very satisfied with the stylish interior, the friendly and exceptionally kind staff, and the outstandingly delicious meals. Thank you very much.

A Relaxing Time Before the Year-End Holidays

The front desk, restaurant staff, and everyone provided exceptionally courteous service, offering the best hospitality. With a great location, the large windows in the Room offered breathtaking views of sunsets, sunrises, and the ocean. The Marshall mini speaker created an emotional atmosphere when playing music. Additionally, the rooftop provided an open view of the sea. Occasionally we heard some noisy motorcycle sounds but they didn’t bother us! The only concern was a slight odor from the bathroom drain; however, it disappeared after running water for a while. Having an IH stove was fantastic for cooking enthusiasts like me as it allowed us to prepare proper meals. The breakfast rolled omelet is something I’d love to have again! It became a memorable and relaxing holiday to wrap up the year beautifully. Thank you very much!

    This is my personal ...

This is my personal favorite hotel in Kamakura! During my stay, I enjoyed the setting sun, the Enoshima coastline right in front of me, and on clear days, even Mount Fuji. It was an incredibly relaxing space. I stayed in a tatami room, which had a raised floor area that left a great impression. The blue-themed wallpaper and indirect lighting created a calm atmosphere. The meals were carefully prepared with attention to the broth for each dish, and both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. In particular, the combination of dashimaki tamago (rolled omelet), soba noodles, and Japanese sake at dinner was outstanding. The staff at the front desk and restaurant were very polite and attentive—I will definitely come back again!

I was very satisfied with the spaciousness and cleanliness of the Room (including the bathroom, washroom, and toilet), as well as the quality of amenities. The meals in the morning and evening were more than sufficient in quantity and variety, and they were extremely delicious. The staff's courteous service left a very good impression. Thanks to this, I was able to have a very pleasant stay. Thank you very much!

    Quiet Time

With a limited number of Rooms, this Hotel is very quiet and peaceful. Being relatively new, it offers a very comfortable stay. The location is excellent, making it easy to go out and explore. The staff are consistently very friendly and welcoming. I opted for the breakfast included option, and it was delicious.

    We stayed for one ni...

We stayed for one night to take our child to the beach. We were very satisfied with the Room, service, and restaurant. We would love to visit again next summer. The soba at the restaurant was very delicious. Currently, only small dishes can be ordered through room service, but it would be even better if main dishes could also be ordered via room service.

A creative Room with a view of Enoshima

Stayed for one night with my spouse and one child. We often go on family trips, staying about 30–40 nights annually. We chose this accommodation because we had seen it in a magazine and were curious about it. Additionally, our travel date of July 5 coincided with a notable prediction, so we decided to stay at this hotel by the Shonan seaside. - **Location**: We traveled by car, but the hotel is conveniently located near Koshigoe Station on the Enoden Line, right in front of Shonan Beach. In summer, the area is lively with many cars and people. - **Room**: Upon opening the door, there’s a balcony directly ahead that separates the living area from the bedroom area. The room isn’t square due to its layout within the property but is well-designed. It features high design quality—simple yet beautiful like something created by an architect—different from foreign luxury hotels. Despite its simplicity, it offers comfort and functionality. The room also includes a dining table and kitchen. - **Service**: At check-in, we were offered champagne along with cheese snacks presented in a wooden box. - **Dining**: Both dinner and breakfast are served at a soba restaurant on the first floor. Dinner consists of Japanese course meals while breakfast is served as plates with various items; breakfast was particularly satisfying due to its variety. However, some menu items overlap between dinner and breakfast. While dining quality meets expectations for standard meals considering price ranges vary greatly depending on room size or type here—guests staying in higher-priced rooms might find dinner portions or ingredient quality slightly lacking compared to their expectations based on nightly rates. - **Bathroom**: The bathroom features stylish traditional tiled designs within guest rooms. - **Overall Satisfaction**: Overall experience was excellent; I enjoy boutique-style accommodations like this one where architecture goes beyond simple rectangular structures—the spiral hallways surrounding courtyards suggest intentional design choices likely tied into storytelling (though I may have missed details). Once our child grows older during summer vacations again someday soon—we’d love returning here for multiple-night stays!

A Hotel You’ll Want to Visit Again

The Facility is impeccably clean, with high-quality, tasteful, and user-friendly furnishings and amenities. The breakfast, made with fresh local ingredients including seasonal vegetables, offers both Japanese and Western options that are delicious, healthy, and highly satisfying. The freshly prepared hot rolled omelet served after being seated was exceptional. The staff exudes hospitality with thoughtful attention to detail while maintaining a non-intrusive approach, allowing for a truly relaxing stay. My well-traveled son repeatedly expressed his desire to return during our stay and continues to say so even after returning home. I hope he can visit next time with his partner. Thank you to all the staff for providing such a comfortable experience—we will definitely return!

    A wonderful Hotel in Shonan.

I stayed here for the first time in two years. As always, the Room and Facility were excellent, and the staff were friendly with warm smiles, making my stay very pleasant. I would love to visit again, so I would like to share a few suggestions for improvement. 1. Despite the Hotel being located right in front of the beach, there is no provision for beach towel rentals or a water station to wash off sand upon returning. During the open beach season, I hope you can consider providing services tailored to beachgoers. When I requested towels, I was given two small hand towels "as a special exception," which made me feel quite disappointed heading to the beach. 2. The coffee and tea served at breakfast are honestly not very good. It's unfortunate because the food is delicious otherwise. For coffee, perhaps using capsule machines like Nespresso could be an option; as for tea, since the teabags provided in Room are tasty, offering those with hot water might be a good alternative worth considering. 3. The freshly made tamagoyaki (Japanese omelet) served with Japanese breakfast is wonderful; however, on my second morning's breakfast service, it was completely forgotten about at our table. After waiting endlessly and finally asking about it myself, staff seemed surprised saying "Oh? It hasn’t arrived yet?"—but one glance at our table should have made that clear immediately! Guests at neighboring tables even left without receiving theirs either... Since this seems like one of your signature dishes during breakfast service please ensure better communication between kitchen & floor teams moving forward. Once again let me emphasize how amazing this Hotel truly is—I hope these points help contribute towards further enhancing guest experiences!

    It was an attractive Hotel.

The staff were very warm and welcoming, making the stay comfortable. I appreciated being able to change breakfast to lunch, allowing for a more relaxed experience. For trips with friends

We stayed here for a trip to celebrate a friend's birthday. We were drawn to the Japanese breakfast featuring rolled omelets, and during the reservation process, we were also informed about dinner options. Since we planned to snack during the day, we worried that a full course might be too much, but they allowed us to reserve just a table. In the end, we enjoyed a delightful meal starting with a toast and dishes like rich-flavored tofu, duck, and soba noodles. The breakfast exceeded our expectations—the freshly made rolled omelets served hot were juicy and satisfying. The sake and appetizer set provided as part of the Diamond Member benefits was delicious, as were the welcome sweets. The bath was spacious with separate toilet facilities, and the amenities were excellent! We also had a relaxing time in our room. We would love to stay here again when visiting Kamakura!

    View

I stayed for one night during my trip to Kanagawa. The view of Enoshima from the Room was breathtaking. The Hotel also had an open rooftop where I could enjoy a panoramic view of Katase Beach and the refreshing sea breeze. The meals were mainly Japanese cuisine, featuring local ingredients, and they were delicious. I would love to stay here again if I visit the area in the future.

    It was a great trip.

The staff provided excellent service with wonderful smiles, making our stay very satisfying. We enjoyed a course meal and were able to take our time, forgetting about the passage of time. The Room was spacious and clean, with thoughtful touches such as the ability to consult in advance about amenities or surprises. Thank you all very much!

    Thank you for your patronage.

This was our second visit following last year, with a friend of 30 years. The cozy design, blue-themed interior, the tasteful selection of items in the room, incredibly delicious meals, perfectly paired drinks (expertly served by the female sommelier for a pleasant buzz), just-right service that’s neither excessive nor lacking, and convenient access... everything was so much to our liking that we’ve unofficially declared this as our go-to accommodation. This time as well, 10 days later, my daughter and her partner stayed here for their graduation trip. They were also deeply impressed by the delicious meals and comfortable atmosphere. They mentioned how kind and attentive the staff were—thank you so much for taking care of them! To be honest, I don’t want to share this place with anyone else. However, as a small token of gratitude for taking care of both mother and daughter on separate occasions, I reluctantly (haha) decided to write this review. Looking forward to visiting again when the menu changes…

I arrived earlier than planned, but thank you to the staff for accommodating me so kindly. The room was stylish, clean, and comfortable. For breakfast, I had an omelet and a variety of toppings for porridge; everything was delicious. Highly recommended. I would like to stay again.

A wonderful Hotel that soothes the soul

3 minutes walk from Koshigoe Station. It is a comfortable hotel located right in front of the sea. The room is neat and clean, the futon is comfortable, and I was able to sleep soundly at night. For dinner, we made a reservation for a seat only and enjoyed the famous soba. It was very delicious with a nice texture. I was also impressed with the hot thick omelet for breakfast. Above all, the gentle smiles of the staff were the most soothing. It was a wonderful place that I would definitely like to visit again.

    The Difference in Service

The staff during dinner service were all smiles, with excellent timing in serving dishes and outstanding hospitality. However, the staff during breakfast lacked smiles, their explanations felt insincere, and the service was disappointing. It was also unfortunate that ordering a Japanese-style meal required an additional charge for coffee, considering the relatively fair Property pricing. The door to the Room was difficult to open due to wind pressure, which we hope can be improved.

Thank you for the excellent service.

I used it the other day. When I asked the staff for cooperation for a surprise for my girlfriend, they willingly agreed, and I was able to successfully complete the surprise! I am grateful for the courteous service of the staff. The Hotel and the scenery were nice, stylish, and I am very satisfied. If I come to Kamakura again, it is a Hotel I would like to use.

We stayed at the Hotel for a trip with two families. In one word, it was a "wonderful" Hotel. Surrounded by comfortable and high-quality amenities, mini-bar, and pajamas, we had a very satisfying stay. Especially the dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the staff's attentiveness and smiles made for a great time. Thank you very much.

    Seasonal Duck Shabu-shabu

The hotel was very good overall, with a new location very close to the station and warm staff service. The duck shabu-shabu for dinner was particularly wonderful. The soba noodles met expectations, but unlike the usual duck seiro or duck nanban, I was impressed by how tender the duck meat was. The shirako chawanmushi was also delicious! The quality of the scallop hors d'oeuvres and the fried ebiimo were also good. The soba noodles at the end could be enjoyed with a change of flavor, and the dessert portion was just right and stylish. The tableware was also well-prepared. Despite not being in perfect health, I was more than satisfied. Next time, I look forward to enjoying some sake as well.

    First Time in Enoshima

I made a reservation to visit Kamakura, which my husband wanted to visit, and which I had always wanted to go to. On the first day, we went to the New Enoshima Aquarium and walked along the coast to get there. There is a proper sidewalk, so we could leisurely pull our suitcases along (though it was a bit bumpy). The room was a tatami room, so it was a pity that we couldn't see the beach, but the large windows made it bright and reassuring. There were various delicious local treats to accompany the tea, and we immediately enjoyed them with some tea. We walked a lot, so we planned to relax until dinner, but since the reviews mentioned that the sunset was beautiful, we walked to the Enoshima area before dinner, sat on the beach steps for a while, and were able to relax in a location that was truly wonderful. The meals, both morning and evening, were made with local ingredients and homemade seasonings, and we were able to enjoy them deliciously and happily. It was a popular place, so it was full at night, and there were times when the food didn't come out one after another, but we were able to eat leisurely, so we didn't feel like we were kept waiting that much, but we were repeatedly apologized to for the wait when we left, which made us feel humbled. The breakfast was also delicious, with side dishes that went well with the white rice (actually porridge, next time I'll have porridge. It would be delicious with sesame-marinated white fish on top), and my husband and daughter had seconds. Originally, we could have stayed until 12:00 with the IKYU benefits, but we checked out before 10:00 to visit the Great Buddha and tour Kamakura, but next time I would like to visit with a schedule that allows us to relax. My husband really liked the soba for dinner and said he wanted to have it for lunch the next day as well. We will definitely visit again. Thank you very much.

    For the price

I had imagined a room with a view of the sea in Kamakura, but from the window, there was only a road and houses. The room was not very spacious, and I somehow didn't feel at ease. It's disappointing.
