Hotel Monterey Le Frere Osaka

I’ve stayed at Grasmere in Namba several times, but this was my first time using this Hotel Montere near Umeda. It doesn’t feel as luxurious as Grasmere, but the location is excellent. However, on a first visit it was a little hard to find the escalator up from the underground mall. Once you find it and go up, it’s truly right in front of you.This time I wanted to do some bar-hopping around the station-front buildings, so being able to come back immediately even after drinking made it an ideal choice.The building feels clean, and while the Room is simple, it has all the necessary amenities and functions. The bed firmness was comfortable for sleeping.Since there were many international travelers on the reception floor, I expected the large public bath to be crowded and that some guests might not follow proper etiquette, but it was always quiet whenever I went and very comfortable to use. The bath isn’t huge, but there are about 10 partitioned washing stations and a sauna—more than enough for a Hotel spa. It was also reassuring that there was always staff stationed at the SPA entrance.Having a convenience store and drugstore directly below the Hotel was also quietly convenient.It’s an Accommodation I’d like to use again when staying in Osaka Kita.

It was excellent. The stay included breakfast, which was amazing—especially the butter! It was unlike anything I had ever tasted before. The breakfast offered a thoughtful variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese options, which was truly impressive. I didn’t try the large public bath this time, but I’d love to experience it on my next visit. The transportation access was very convenient with no issues at all. The bed was incredibly comfortable for a perfect night’s sleep.
