The open-air bath was great, and I loved that you can stand in it.

I had planned to stay in Shirahama the next day, and since I was making the trip anyway, I looked for a Hotel for the night before and made a Reservation because it was very reasonably priced. Lately I’ve been staying mostly at all-inclusive Hotels, so the welcome drink—only sweet plum liqueur and plum juice—felt a bit underwhelming. The sofa in the changing room looked expensive, but all the seat cushions were worn out and sunken, making it uncomfortable to sit on. The dinner buffet was excellent—the sushi, hamburg steak, and turban shell were especially delicious. The tuna sashimi had a nice chewy texture, and the pizza was served fresh from the oven. There was also a wide variety of colorful, stylish desserts. There were plenty of staff at both the front desk and restaurant, and they cleared plates quickly after we finished eating, which I appreciated. Breakfast was also good—especially onigiri after overeating the day before. I didn’t use it, but the pool is free; the Onsen is free-flowing; and the open-air bath was comfortable and relaxing because you can stand in it easily. Towels are provided in the changing room as well, so you can go without bringing anything. I’d like to visit again if I have another chance.
