We stayed as a couple. The room was spacious and comfortable. The Shirahama Onsen water suited us very well, and it was our first time experiencing the standing bath in the open-air onsen, where we could also sit on the step at the entrance. Both dinner and breakfast were enjoyable with the live kitchen experience. Unlike other hotels where sashimi is often piled up buffet-style, here each plate was thoughtfully prepared, and pasta was freshly made each time—there was no sense of cutting corners, which we appreciated greatly. For breakfast, while many hotels simply place large trays of omelets out for guests to serve themselves, this hotel prepared fresh rolled omelets (dashimaki tamago) on-site. It was so popular that there were lines forming to get them—and they were delicious! In the evening, there were illuminations in the garden that added a special touch to our stay. Additionally, although many staff members were from overseas, they provided excellent service. Most of the guests appeared to be Japanese and behaved respectfully in shared spaces like the lobby, baths, and dining areas—making for a pleasant atmosphere overall. Unlike some other famous four-star hotels that can feel chaotic due to large tour groups or noisy environments, this hotel offered a calm and relaxing experience—a truly wonderful accommodation!
