Thank you very much for your kind hospitality the other day. We were blessed with wonderful weather, and our stay in Amakusa was truly a happy one from the bottom of our hearts. The lovely Room, the magnificent views, the skin-beautifying hot spring, the flavorful cuisine that was also a delight to the eyes, and the tableware by local artists that enhanced each dish. We were also deeply impressed by the fluffy towels and the warm, attentive care from your staff throughout our stay. It was a memorable and wonderful Accommodation that made us want to return again. We stayed here on the final day of a 3-night, 4-day long-distance road trip from Fukuoka through Hiroshima, Shimane, and Yamaguchi. From the moment we arrived, the staff’s thoughtful, guest-focused hospitality made us feel warmly welcomed and truly comfortable. The Room we were shown was very spacious, and everything—from the bed to each amenity—was high quality, leaving us extremely satisfied. That day, the view from the balcony was breathtaking, and soaking in the open-air bath while looking at cherry blossoms in full bloom soothed our fatigue from the long drive. This is a place we would definitely love to stay at again—Bettei Otozure!

We stayed at “Kotei Soka” for a three-night Multiple Night Stay. Overall, the stay was extremely comfortable, and it was a wonderful Accommodation that made us want to visit again. [What we liked] An unforgettable crab dinner: The crab dishes at dinner were truly outstanding. The quality of the ingredients really came through, and each dish was prepared with great care—easily the best memory of this trip. Beautiful design: The Room interior and overall design were excellent, allowing us to spend a luxurious time in a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Convenience of the in-room Onsen: The Onsen in our Room was always at the perfect temperature, and being able to bathe whenever we wanted felt wonderfully indulgent. [Suggestions for improvement / requests] About the outdoor pool: Since it is not heated in winter, we couldn’t use it and could only admire it from afar, which was a bit disappointing. We would be happy if there were some way to make use of it even during winter. Breakfast content: Because dinner was so lavish and impressive, breakfast felt a little simple by comparison. We hope for a breakfast with more variety or a special touch that matches the quality of dinner. Checkout flexibility: Standard checkout is 10:00, which feels slightly early. As we were on a three-night Multiple Night Stay, we requested late checkout until 11:00; however, we were told an additional fee (4,400 yen) would apply. As long-stay guests, this felt somewhat disappointing. If there were more flexibility or preferential treatment for guests staying multiple nights—such as allowing some extra time—it could further improve guest satisfaction. [Overall] Although I noted some small points above, we were very satisfied overall and became fans of this Accommodation. We look forward to visiting again next time.

The cuisine, hospitality, and Facility were all outstanding. Meals in particular were wonderful. Each dish was carefully prepared using local ingredients, and I couldn’t wait for the next course to arrive. The staff who served the meals also gave helpful advice on drinks and provided thorough explanations of each dish, so I was able to enjoy dining at a relaxed pace even as a solo female traveler. Breakfast was delicious as well. If I have the chance to visit Izumo again, I would definitely like to stay here again.

This was the first Hotel where we could enjoy sunrise, sunset, and the night view over the peninsula from our Room. On top of that, the staff’s thoughtfulness was reflected in everything—the spotless cleanliness of the Room, the variety and arrangement of amenities, and even the selection of drinks in the refrigerator. It was simply outstanding. Communicating with the staff and manager was truly comforting, and they were so considerate with the Shuttle Service that we almost felt bad. Even a small comment would be met with “How about this?” as they did everything possible beyond any manual—so much so that we felt we shouldn’t casually mention anything. When we told them it was to celebrate our daughter’s graduation and new job, they created unforgettable memories for us with a handmade bouquet and a champagne toast. Our daughter kept saying to both the staff—and even on our flight home—that she would work hard and definitely come back again. It seems this Accommodation has become a goal for her. There is still so much more I can’t fit here, but among all the Hotels we have stayed at, this became our very best Accommodation. It was a warm place where you could truly feel everyone working together to think about how to make guests happy. Thank you very much. We will be back again.

Throughout our stay, we could feel the Accommodation’s pride and dignity in every detail, and it was a truly fulfilling experience. First, what deserves special mention is the thoroughness of the Room cleaning. Everything was carefully arranged down to the smallest detail, and the spotless space—without a speck of dust—made us feel that the fundamentals of an Accommodation were being upheld at an exceptionally high standard. We were also deeply impressed by the grace of the attendant’s service. Though she was young, she wore traditional attire, moved quietly with no wasted motion, and spoke with gentle refinement. In each gesture we sensed a polished spirit of hospitality; imagining how much effort she must have put in even brought tears to my eyes. (This old man is easily moved.) And above all, what was most outstanding was the exceptional quality of the cuisine. With generous use of premium ingredients, every aspect—the presentation, depth of flavor, and expression of seasonality—was superb. More than anything, I felt that what sustains this high level of service—and its true cornerstone—is the proprietress’s attitude. She consistently leads from the front, encouraging and guiding her staff. I was profoundly moved. These days, Accommodations like this are becoming rare. My wife and I are already talking about returning again in autumn. This is a genuinely outstanding Accommodation where you can experience Japan’s traditional beauty and refined elegance without exaggeration.

My husband and I stayed here for the first time in 10 years, and we were able to relax completely thanks to the same warm hospitality as before. Although there was a minor issue, it was resolved immediately, and we were deeply moved by the attentive care of each staff member. After check-out, when we mentioned our plan to visit Miyajima's Mount Misen, we received detailed information about the ferry and tips for navigating Miyajima. Thanks to this guidance, we safely reached the "Eternal Flame" on Mount Misen. Blessed with good weather and beautiful autumn leaves, it turned out to be a perfect trip to Aki. As for meals, everything was delicious. Especially the fugu (pufferfish), which I had been craving for some reason days before—it was truly delightful! However, by the time we got to the final dish of anago rice at dinner, I was too full and couldn't finish it—I felt so sorry about that. But on our way back from Mount Misen, thanks to a staff member who made a reservation at "Ueno," we thoroughly enjoyed their anago bento. The bath in our room wasn't Onsen water; however, my husband remarked again this time that it felt like Onsen water—just as he did during our previous stay—and he kept expressing his admiration. We also loved the free drinks in the lounge—especially how deliciously smooth their sake was! The Onsen itself had wonderful water quality too; Hiroshima must be blessed with great water resources. Our room offered a beautiful view of Miyajima through its window. Watching Seto Inland Sea’s calm waters alongside Miyajima’s mountain ridges glowing under stunning sunrise hues while overlooking meticulously maintained gardens made us sincerely hope that we'll have another chance someday soon to visit again.

The service at Shuhoukaku Kogetsu was excellent overall! The attention to detail was truly impressive. For example, when I noticed my name on the guest list at the entrance and tried to take a photo with my phone, someone approached me, asked where my name was, and offered to help take a picture together. During breakfast, I initially wanted a window seat but it seemed unavailable, so I gave up. Later on, someone specially arranged for us to sit at a four-person table with a view of Mt. Fuji for two people... Small gestures like these made me feel very cared for. Needless to say, the location is fantastic; just like Kosuiantei's accommodations, you can see Mt. Fuji from every room. Waking up in the morning and enjoying hot tea while admiring Mt. Fuji and its reflection directly from the room is my favorite way to experience this place!

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at this quiet Accommodation on a small hill called Izusan. The location is outstanding, overlooking the town of Atami and the calm sea. As I was traveling with my elderly mother, we made a Reservation for a Room with an open-air bath. We were told it was on the first floor of the guest building. Since there was no elevator from the second-floor lobby, we managed by using the stairs, and we truly appreciated that wheelchairs were prepared at both stair landings between the second and first floors. Without us even asking, they also brought a caregiving bath chair to our Room, as well as a chair to sit on when putting on shoes. The open-air bath in the Room had handrails, and the interior was flat throughout, so my mother felt safe and comfortable and was very pleased. We chose breakfast only, and it was delicious and very filling—fresh local vegetables, eggs, yogurt, and more. This became a rare and valuable Accommodation where I could stay together with my mother while caregiving. I would love to visit again.

I had been interested in this Accommodation for some time, and this time we stayed to celebrate my son’s birthday. They took a family photo for us and showed thoughtful care in many ways. Thank you. I think this is an Accommodation where you can relax and enjoy delicious meals at a leisurely pace while having drinks. The timing of the meal service matched our eating pace perfectly. We also received warm, attentive service that made us feel very comfortable. I’m the type who likes to chat with the staff about the food and local area, and they kindly answered my questions, which made it a pleasure. We tried all of the baths. The views from the private open-air family baths on the 3rd and 5th floors were beautiful. Both the sunrise and sunset were wonderful. I would love to visit again when the autumn leaves are at their peak or when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom.
