Kisha Poppo Dining and Inn・Annex

I stayed for one night with two meals included for business purposes. The owner is a railway enthusiast, and there are four train cars repurposed into a restaurant where I enjoyed dinner. Since it was a business stay, I honestly didn’t have high expectations for the dinner, but I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of dishes, generous portions, and delicious flavors. Thank you very much! The bathroom also features a rock bath that can accommodate 5 to 6 people, which was very relaxing. I will definitely use this accommodation again when I visit the area for work in the future.

This was a No Meals Included Plan for staying in a separate train car. As the title suggests, the unique experience of staying in a train surpasses any minor inconveniences. The interior of the car has been beautifully renovated into a luxurious hotel-like space. Part of the floor is made of glass, allowing you to see the motor and wheels below. Since it is set on tracks with suspension, you can feel slight movements when walking inside, reminding you that you're in a train car. However, eating and drinking inside the car are not allowed, which can be challenging with a No Meals Included Plan. This might not be suitable for those who find this restriction difficult to manage. Still, this stay-in-a-train experience is truly exceptional! If I had to suggest improvements: having a simple dining area within the building surrounding the train would be nice since eating inside isn't permitted; also, it was disappointing that there was no ice-making function in the room's refrigerator for cooling my cooler box packs.For us, staying overnight in an actual train was an amazing experience!
