Miura Peninsula Travel Inn Misaki Inn

This is our third stay. Because it’s a whole-house rental, we can relax without worrying about others, and it has become our favorite Accommodation. The water dispenser, ice maker, well-stocked amenities, spacious bath, and comfortable beds for a great night’s sleep… we truly feel we’ve found a wonderful Accommodation. Misaki Port is also a favorite spot for us as a couple. We stay at Irifune and enjoy looking for new places to eat each time. We would love to stay again.

Because Misaki Port is famous for tuna, we were looking for an Accommodation without meals and ended up here. This time we also wanted a great view and a large bath, so we booked Room 502 in Honjin B. Misaki Port was right in front of us, and looking to the left we could see the Jogashima Ohashi Bridge. With nothing blocking the view, we were able to fully enjoy the relaxing scenery of this fishing port. (In summer, I’m sure the sunset must be beautiful.)The size of the in-room bath was beyond what we expected. In Room 502 it felt like the long side was about 2.5 meters, so even tall people can relax comfortably. (The person in the photo is about 160 cm tall.) The view from the bath is also wonderful since it faces the sea on the same side as the room. As others have mentioned, it’s best to start filling the bath right after check-in. It holds about 2.5 times as much water as a typical home bath, so it takes around an hour to fill up. (Even if you start early, there’s reheating and temperature control so it won’t get cold.) The shower also seemed to be by ReFa; switching modes gave a very fine mist-like spray, which was great.What we unexpectedly got hooked on was the massage chair—simple but satisfying (it almost made me want one). There were also several types of AirDog massagers in the Room, which our aging bodies really appreciated.The water dispenser provides hot water too, so you can have tea or coffee without waiting. Also, each floor’s hallway has a shared microwave and a large ice machine, so anyone who wants to drink alcohol shouldn’t have trouble getting ice (there are also plates, teacups, and chopsticks).If I may mention a few points for improvement… Since this seems mainly like an Accommodation without meals, I’d like you to provide forks and spoons as well—enough for roughly each floor’s capacity. (There was only one fork in with the shared chopsticks.)The pillows were fluffy and seemed high quality, but they were too thick/high; when lying on my back my neck bent at too sharp an angle. I’d like you to offer two types—a higher pillow and a lower pillow. (I folded a blanket and used that instead.) Many places do offer two options.Also, part of the window sliding-door rail had come off slightly, making it hard to slide smoothly on the left side—worth checking.The person who assisted us was kind and gentle-mannered as well; overall, considering this price point, I think this is an Accommodation with very high satisfaction value! We’d love to stay again next time.
