Ooshio Inn

In spring, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom around the Accommodation and at the Kurushima Kaikyo Observatory, making it truly beautiful. From the Japanese-style Room, the large windows were wonderful—you could even enjoy an ocean view while lying on the futon—and the Room amenities and equipment showed thoughtful attention to detail. Needless to say, the food was outstanding! All of the staff were kind and very pleasant, too. Next time—whether for a celebration, an anniversary, or simply to refresh—I want to find any excuse to stay here again.

We stayed on the last weekend of August. Our first impression upon arriving at the Ryokan was, "Amazing!" The view from the Ryokan was breathtaking. The views from our Room and the dinner venue were also absolutely stunning. Dinner was an incredible feast with so many dishes that we couldn’t finish them all. From sashimi to horaku-yaki, everything was delicious. We couldn’t finish the final dish, tai-meshi (sea bream rice), so they kindly made it into rice balls for us to take home, which we later grilled as onigiri—also incredibly tasty! The entire facility was spotless and perfect in every way; however, having an open-air bath would make it even better. Lastly, we were delighted that both a washing machine and dryer were available for free use!
