Ryokan Tenryu

I chose this place to relax in Amagase Onsen, and it turned out to be exactly the right choice. What stood out most was the food. Not only was it beautifully presented, but the care taken with the ingredients was exceptional—everything was outstanding. Honestly, I didn’t expect this level of quality for the Accommodation Fee, so it exceeded my expectations in the best way. The attentive and dedicated service from the senior staff was also very pleasant. We heard they were starting again after damage from heavy rains, but their bright smiles never showed any hardship and really lifted our spirits. Both the private bath and the large public bath were truly relaxing. If you’re going to Amagase, I can confidently recommend staying here.

Everything was wonderful—the comfort, the sleep quality, the food, and above all, the kindness of everyone there. What stood out most was your warm hospitality. It felt like a family-run Accommodation, and we experienced genuine warmth again and again. The friendly atmosphere—like visiting a grandparent’s home—was incredibly comforting for both my husband and me. There were many dishes, made with local ingredients, each prepared with great care. The electric bed had a massage function and felt so good that I wanted to stay lying down forever. The Onsen had yunohana minerals mixed in; it was slightly silky with a gentle sulfur scent, and I loved it so much I soaked five times in one night. A river flowed right in front of us, and in the morning we watched a train pass by twice. It rained that day, but we didn’t mind at all—we felt completely relaxed and refreshed. We were both very satisfied with our stay and agreed we will definitely return in another season. To everyone at Tenryu, thank you very much.
