The Onsen was great, the Room was spacious, and dinner was a kaiseki meal with an all-you-can-drink plan—everything was excellent. I’d love to visit again.

Every year, I stay here during a quieter season and also look forward to enjoying the drive, and this year I was able to relax again. There is no TV, so it’s a great Hotel for getting through a book or taking time to think.

The water here is cold, pure, and delicious. This place holds cherished childhood memories of family stays. While the building has been reconstructed since then, it offers a unique atmosphere distinct from life below—cleaner and more comfortable than a typical mountain lodge. Relax with coffee while admiring the scenery from a sofa or join guided tours through wetlands. For those seeking adventure, equipped mountain hikes are available to explore further. Other highlights include panoramic views of Tateyama Caldera, stargazing under clear skies, morning frost glistening in dawn light over Toyama Plain’s twinkling nightscape or stars above. However one concern arose: foreign staff members (likely due to labor shortages) repeatedly asked about rice/miso soup service within an hour into all-you-can-drink time despite good intentions perhaps miscommunicated; additionally simultaneous ignition between ceramic grill & sukiyaki caused rushed dining leading towards cooled dishes felt disappointing amidst otherwise flawless classic Hotel excellence!

I found an available weekend slot at the end of last year and made a Reservation. After checking in, I relaxed for a while in the lounge with a flowing stream, enjoying a welcome drink. My Room was a Japanese-style room in the Kyushinkan wing, and it was comfortably spacious enough. The toilet was small, which reminded me of the building’s age—but that’s part of its charm. Dinner was a mini kaiseki set plus a half buffet, and everything was delicious. As it’s an Itoen Hotels property, alcoholic drinks were also all-you-can-drink—so I ended up happily tipsy. The bath was the large public Onsen on the first floor. The water had a smooth, silky feel that I really liked. It was also nice that the men’s and women’s baths switch between morning and evening. Breakfast was a buffet as well—simple and tasty. If my schedule allows, I’d love to visit Kamisuwa Onsen again. Thank you very much to all the Hotel staff.

This is a Hotel I stayed at with my daughter last autumn and completely fell in love with. This time, we were able to return again in spring sooner than expected. It felt like the wonderful hospitality from our previous stay had been taken to an even higher level. The staff who provided Shuttle Service, the staff who welcomed us, and the staff who spoke to us during our stay—everyone was so warm, and we truly felt relaxed from the bottom of our hearts. This time I visited with a friend who lives in the U.S., and she was also deeply impressed. We’re already saying, “Let’s definitely go again!” I’m also impressed by how deeply Terrace Hotels cares about Okinawa’s environment.

It was a space that healed daily stress. The service, cuisine, scenery, and Onsen were all satisfying. I will use it again.

This was my first stay at this accommodation! All the staff were kind and provided excellent service! The room was very clean and extremely comfortable! Moreover, there was an exceptional touch of hospitality on the bed! The view was great, and I have no complaints at all! It’s truly the best hotel! Breakfast was outstanding as expected! We stayed here as a family! All the Accommodation staff were friendly, approachable, and courteous, making our stay very comfortable. It was our first time staying in a villa, and we had a wonderful time celebrating two birthdays. Since the front desk is unmanned, check-in took about 30 seconds and we headed straight to the Room. The nighttime illumination and the beautiful morning views were so soothing. We relaxed in the villa-only jacuzzi and were able to unwind completely. Next time, we’d like to stay in a condo and try the infinity pool. It was peaceful, and we’re glad we chose this lovely villa for such a special birthday. Thank you!

Although it is a bit far from the station, shuttle buses run frequently, so it never felt inconvenient. I checked in quite late at night, but the staff were thoughtful in every way—from meals to luggage—so I was able to stay very comfortably. It truly felt like a long-established Hotel. I didn’t use the large public bath, but the Room bath uses separate hot and cold water controls, so adjusting the temperature may be a little tricky. Amenities are provided in generous pump bottles. The Room was spacious and relaxing, and there was also a balcony—spending time there was a lovely part of the stay. Above all, the view from the Room was stunning—like a Turner painting. The night cruise was wonderful, and listening to the cheerful captain-in-training was very informative—from how to take photos to stories about the origins of the deer. It was fascinating to hear how it differs from Kasuga Taisha and Kashima Jingu, and even that deer ride the ferry back to Miyajima. The cruise itself was excellent; as we approached the great torii gate, I could really feel its scale. The souvenir shop didn’t feel cluttered at all—you can enjoy choosing from both high-end items and more casual ones. A relative in Hiroshima told me, “It’s been a good Hotel for years,” and I’m truly glad I chose this place.

First visit with my mother to celebrate her 77th birthday. The lounge provided wonderful service, and my mother was delighted by the surprise. Thank you so much for the pleasant support from the prior arrangements. The underground parking is very convenient, allowing free in-and-out access without getting wet even on rainy days. Breakfast was smooth without any waiting, and we enjoyed a pleasant morning overlooking the marina while savoring delicious local dishes. Guests receive a 10% discount at the shop—looking forward to another opportunity to stay!

Dinner felt fairly average. Breakfast seemed to have a limited selection. The Room was a spacious triple Western-style room. The large public bath was also spacious. Overall, I was able to relax and enjoy a comfortable stay.

Dinner was served buffet-style, and we were able to enjoy freshly grilled seafood at the table (scallops, clams, and turban shells). The buffet offered a great variety, so I think it’s something guests of all ages—from children to seniors—will enjoy. Breakfast was also buffet-style, with both rice and bread available. We stayed here to celebrate our 49th wedding anniversary trip. We enjoyed the Resort Hotel-style building, the view from our Room, beautiful sunsets and sunrises, an open-air bath overlooking the sea, and a three-star buffet. It was wonderful to experience something out of the ordinary. It’s an easy trip—about two hours by car—so we can visit casually. We’d like to stay here again from time to time. Thank you very much.
