We stayed here to celebrate my wife’s birthday. First, we truly appreciated the kind pickup from Aizuwakamatsu Station. On top of that, you guided us to some well-known local sights and even stopped by the most famous one, Tsuruga Castle. It was our first time in Fukushima and we didn’t know much about the sightseeing spots, but thanks to all your helpful information, it made us want to come back and explore Fukushima more slowly next time. After arriving at the Accommodation, we were served matcha in a separate annex from the main residence, and you also showed us a beautiful Japanese garden. We were told it looks different with spring cherry blossoms and autumn foliage as well, so we’d love to visit again in another season. When we entered the main residence, you showed us classic antiques and a Room that used to be run as a traditional restaurant. It really built up our excitement about what our Room would be like. Since it was located underground, we assumed we might not be able to enjoy any outside views—but the moment we opened the door, there was an incredibly spacious and beautiful modern Japanese-style Room beyond anything we imagined. With unlimited drinks available and plenty of beverages stocked in the refrigerator, we were already thrilled. To our surprise, there was a river flowing just outside the window. The balcony was stylish and spotless, and there was even an elegant fireplace—everything was wonderful. The bath let us fully enjoy Higashiyama Onsen (Onsen), and it even came with a sauna; it was perfect. Dinner featured their most famous basashi (horse sashimi), along with Fukushima’s local dish kozuyu, tempura manju buns, sakura nabe (horse hot pot), celebratory dishes for special occasions, and more—an abundant meal with great variety. The basashi in particular was overwhelmingly delicious—better than anything I’ve ever had—and honestly made us want to come back just for that alone. Since it was my wife’s birthday trip, you also surprised us by preparing a birthday cake. Your hospitality went above and beyond—we were truly moved. Thank you very much. Breakfast was also excellent: Koshihikari rice cooked in a traditional hagama pot along with many side dishes such as salmon, rolled omelet (tamagoyaki), sea bream carpaccio (tai), eel (unagi), and more. There were so many options that everything tasted so good I ended up having multiple refills of rice. Checkout time felt far too soon—we’re sincerely grateful for such an Accommodation where you simply want to stay forever. You also drove us back to Aizuwakamatsu Station on departure day; it really was attentive service from start to finish. We will definitely return in another season. Thank you again for everything.

The room was spacious, and it was thoroughly cleaned down to every corner—very clean and comfortable. The kitchen, amenities, furniture, and other provided items were also very well stocked, with nothing to complain about. Having separate toilets for men and women was also a great plus! Next time I come to Awaji Island, I’d love to watch the sunset from here again while seeing my dog happily playing.

The Room size, facilities and amenities, cleanliness, and the breathtaking ocean view are all flawless. I think it offers far better value for money than staying at a nearby Resort Hotel. However, you may be a bit confused if you arrive expecting a typical Hotel. There is no front desk or management office; instead, it’s an Airbnb-style setup where you enter the PIN sent to you after completing pre-registration. In my case, the registration email ended up in my spam folder, so I didn’t know what to do on site and only figured it out after calling the emergency contact number. I tried to upload the required ID documents for verification, but the connection was poor and it was difficult; in the end, I had to get the PIN by phone in quite a rush. If you complete pre-registration in advance, check-in should be smooth, and from the second stay onward there likely won’t be any issues—but it would be helpful if IKYU clearly noted these differences from a standard Hotel in the Facility description as well. Please also note that there is no elevator. In addition, the entrance floor is made of stepping stones with water around them. It may look stylish, but if you drop your phone or anything similar it’s game over, and it’s inconvenient when carrying heavy luggage—so there seems to be room for improvement.

This was my third visit yesterday. The Onsen is wonderfully gentle on the skin and absolutely satisfying, but the meals and wine at the restaurant were, as always, outstanding. There were many dishes you can’t experience elsewhere—like lightly searing fish stuffed with olives yourself right at the table. With freshly baked bread, it was hard not to keep enjoying more wine. An Accommodation where you can savor such delicious cuisine with your dog and also fully enjoy the Onsen—I’d love to stay again. Thank you for your continued hospitality.

We visited to celebrate my husband’s retirement from his position. The Room, meals, and service were all wonderful, and we truly appreciated your hospitality. We also enjoyed a relaxing time in the top-floor lounge. The baked sweets and other treats provided there were absolutely delicious. Above all, the abalone steak at dinner—which I had been looking forward to most—was truly outstanding. I was also delighted to meet the chef in person. For breakfast, since we had enjoyed a hearty Western-style dinner the night before, I chose the Japanese set. The light menu items, such as seafood rice porridge, were also very tasty. It was a wonderfully delicious trip and a very special memory for us. My husband was thrilled as well and says he would definitely like to visit again.

The facility and rooms were very clean, with all rooms facing the Kanmon Strait, offering an amazing view. You can also enjoy the scenery from the bath. In the morning, you can admire the sunrise over the sea from your balcony. After checking in, we had some time before dinner, so we took a walk along the promenade by the sea behind the hotel. The meals were excellent; dinner was a fugu (pufferfish) course meal that was very delicious, and there was a good variety of alcoholic beverages to enjoy with it. Breakfast was also delightful. The staff provided very pleasant service throughout our stay. This time we stayed for only one night, but next time we plan to book a Multiple Night Stay to fully enjoy both the hotel and sightseeing in Shimonoseki.

Starting with the most important thing—hospitality—I was extremely satisfied in almost every way. When I made the Reservation, you called me a week in advance to let me know about my mistake, which helped avoid any issues. Also, at many Ryokan there’s often nowhere to go or anything to do after dinner, so you end up spending the evening in your Room. Here, however, there were small events and a wonderful bar (thank you to both bartenders for staying late), and I had a great time (I ended up short on sleep, but that was part of the fun). The only thing I felt was that while every dinner dish was delicious, it lacked a bit of impact. For example, it would be even better if at least the main course felt more extraordinary (in presentation or staging). Also, since this is a mountainous area, standard sashimi isn’t necessary; seafood prepared with some extra care was served beforehand, and I felt that was more than enough. It’s not easy for me to visit again because it’s far away, but I would definitely love to come back.

We stayed here for our honeymoon. The Room was clean, and the meals at the restaurant next to the Accommodation were delicious—both my wife and I were very satisfied. We could use the laundry and dryer for free, and the view from the rooftop was wonderful. It was a great Accommodation that we would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

With the Diamond Member upgrade, I was given a very lovely Room with a beautiful view of the Naruto Strait, making my stay extremely comfortable. The meals were delicious, especially the abalone risotto and Awaji beef for dinner, both complemented by excellent sauces.

From the moment I made the reservation, I was eagerly looking forward to my stay. The atmosphere of the Resort Hotel was just as beautiful as shown on the website, with its stunning contrast of white and blue. The staff's attentive service exceeded my expectations, and even my friend who accompanied me was pleasantly surprised. Although we only had breakfast since we ate out during the day, it was delicious. We enjoyed a leisurely meal while gazing at the ocean. The room was well-maintained, luxurious, and clean. Since I wanted an ocean view, we stayed in a Terrace Suite. The amenities were high-quality with subtly scented shampoos that were very pleasant. The bathroom was clean without any issues; however, as two people who tend to feel warm easily, managing humidity and temperature in the bathroom posed a slight challenge for us—hence one star deducted (though only by 0.5). That said, there were controls for drying on the wall and a circulator provided as well. From our room’s view of the sea changing shades of blue over time allowed us to relax completely—to such an extent that we almost missed going out! Some trees in front had grown taller than expected; if they were slightly shorter it would have been perfect—but considering their function as windbreaks perhaps this is unavoidable given nature’s balance. We visited hoping to catch sight Gemini meteor shower but unfortunately due cloudy weather couldn’t see meteors themselves though glimpses stars appeared through breaks clouds instead. While summer seems appealing too plan return during clearer starlit season admire full sky filled countless stars again someday!

Both the outdoor and indoor baths were very pleasant, and I used them multiple times. The staff's service was courteous and easy to understand. The meals, which I was most looking forward to, were all prepared with great care, and they were delicious and visually satisfying.

This was our first stay here. Being able to sleep in the bed with our dog and enjoy breakfast together made it a wonderful memory. The Room was very clean, the amenities were well stocked, and there were also light snacks and treats for our dog, so we had a very comfortable stay.
