Merveille Arima

I traveled with my elderly parents. At check-in, since my mother is petite, you prepared a size S yukata for her, and I truly appreciated your thoughtfulness. You were able to keep our car from 13:00, and since the Hotel is right in front of the station, we enjoyed walking around Arima. We had a great time eating and drinking even before check-in. Check-in was available from 15:00, and we fully enjoyed Kin-no-Yu, Gin-no-Yu, and the open-air bath. Dinner was a kaiseki meal from 17:30, which we enjoyed with sake. In the morning, there was a Japanese-style buffet from 7:00; the sardines simmered with ume were especially delicious, and it was fun to grill shishamo at the table ourselves. The Room also had handrails even at small steps, and I felt it was a very considerate Hotel that made our stay comfortable. Thank you very much.

The Arima Onsen Station is visible from the Room, and you can hear the sound of trains arriving and departing. The bathhouse has both Kinsen and Ginsen, so you can enjoy both in one visit. There was also a sauna, but I didn’t have time to use it because I kept alternating between Kinsen and Ginsen. The open-air bath cannot be accessed directly from the bathhouse; you need to get dressed once and then go to the outdoor bath area. There is no washing area—once you undress, you go straight into the tub. It felt more like enjoying the atmosphere. It would probably be full with about five people. Dinner was enjoyed slowly over about 1 hour and 30 minutes. The sashimi was fresh and delicious, and fried pufferfish was a rare treat as well. Breakfast leaned heavily toward Japanese-style dishes, so those who prefer Western options may not be fully satisfied.
