Kani to Katsugyo Ryori no Yado Kaifutei Teradomari Nihonkai

The highlight was definitely the meals—so many dishes were served that we couldn’t finish them all. Since it was an inexpensive Plan, we didn’t have high expectations, but this Accommodation exceeded them. Not only the meals, but they also arranged a Room with views of both the sea and the mountains, so we could enjoy the scenery as well, and the bath was great too. The staff were wonderful, and if we have the chance, we’d love to stay again. We had a very relaxing holiday.

We stayed as a couple in our 60s. We arrived before 3:00 p.m., but they served us tea in the lobby while we waited to enter our Room. The Room was a spacious two-room tatami-style suite, warm and relaxing, with a view from the west-facing windows of the boat harbor and the Sea of Japan stretching out before us. Dinner was outstanding—the whole boiled crab was incredibly delicious, and not only were there many dishes, but every one of them was carefully prepared and truly tasty. The baths are not an Onsen, but there were both lukewarm and hot baths, plus a sauna, and we could soak while looking out at the Sea of Japan through a full wall of glass on one side of the bath area. The next morning’s breakfast also came with a wide-open view of the Sea of Japan; it wasn’t a buffet either, but there was a great variety of items, along with many kinds of all-you-can-drink beverages—completely satisfying. On our way home, we stopped by a nearby seafood market to buy crab souvenirs, then visited Yahiko Shrine for the first time (it’s spacious and impressive—and we were surprised to see Japanese deer) to pay our respects.It’s the first time we’ve ever come away from an overnight trip with such a strong positive impression.After returning home, my spouse and I said to each other: “Let’s go back to [Kanito Ikatsugyo Ryori no Accommodation Umikazetei Teradomari Nihonkai] again next year!”
