HOTEL R9 The Yard Karatsu

I’d been curious about this container Hotel by the roadside for a long time.When I finally stayed, it felt no different from a regular Business Hotel—and it even came with a fairly substantial frozen bento meal, so I was very satisfied.One small thing, though: since there’s a microwave in the Room, I wished there was a microwave-safe mug. It was disappointing not being able to warm bottled drinks. There are free drinks at the front desk, so if you only drink those, it’s fine. But the paper cups and the in-room toothbrush cup can’t be microwaved, so having a microwave-safe mug would have made it even better.

The door lock is automatic, and unlocking requires a designated PIN code, which was my first experience at R9 Hotel. I have stayed at various R9 accommodations before; the previous night, I stayed at the Omura branch where the key was a regular metal turn type. When checking out before 6 AM, the office was still closed, so I couldn't return the key. After pressing the intercom repeatedly, I managed to check out. Since I used Online Credit Card Payment during my reservation, I could check out at my desired time. Being able to check out anytime is very convenient.
