Super Hotel Tokushima Komatsushima Natural Hot Spring

The staff were cheerful, and I felt great from the moment I checked in. I was also happy to be able to choose my pillow. The Room was comfortable and clean, so I could sleep with peace of mind. The Onsen left my skin feeling silky smooth and made me want to go in again and again, but there was some mold on the ceiling and elsewhere, which was a bit disappointing. However, the changing area was clean and pleasant to use. Breakfast was delicious as well—at that price, the level of comfort was more than enough.\nI would definitely like to stay here again.

We stayed here to visit the Otsuka Museum of Art. Despite the reasonable price, there were complimentary drinks and a great selection of amenities. For dinner, we used the included meal vouchers worth 1,000 yen. They can only be used at designated nearby restaurants. Since my husband had been drinking, we chose somewhere within walking distance. We walked about 10 minutes to a restaurant recommended by the staff, but it was reserved for a private party and we couldn’t get in (sadly). We ended up going back and visiting an izakaya near the Hotel, but smoking was allowed inside and the cigarette smell was very strong. The staff were even smoking behind the counter while watching TV. It really felt like a local izakaya. The menu was limited, but the food was good enough. We don’t eat much, so even after having one bottle of beer, our total came to about 300 yen extra after using two 1,000-yen vouchers.The Onsen water quality at the Hotel is excellent and you can use it until morning. There are four shower stations and not many lockers.The complimentary drinks are available until 9:00 p.m. There’s no beer alcohol option, but they offer plenty of cocktails, shochu, wine, and juices as well—we really enjoyed it. The lounge also has a microwave oven, so some guests were eating their dinner there.The breakfast buffet doesn’t have a huge variety of items, but for such an affordable price I almost felt bad eating that much! Rice with raw egg was delicious (lol). The Room is small as you’d expect from a business hotel style stay, but since it’s so inexpensive we were satisfied overall. We’d love to stay again.
