Hotel Heritage, Shiki no Yu Onsen

We stayed here during our visit to Saitama Children's Zoo with our 2-year-old son. Although we checked in much later than planned, the staff provided a very accommodating response over the phone. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed at both the parking lot entrance and the hotel entrance, which was especially touching given the harsh cold weather. The onsen in the annex had its outdoor bath closed due to freezing conditions, but the indoor bath had excellent water quality. The washing area felt slightly chilly though. I took my son to enjoy the panoramic bath on the 12th floor of the hotel, where baby soap was thoughtfully provided—this was incredibly helpful! The room was clean and well-maintained; we had requested a Hollywood twin bed setup in advance, and they kindly accommodated this request as well. The hospitality truly stood out as exceptional! While I felt that breakfast could use some improvement, considering its cost-performance ratio and overall experience, it was a very pleasant stay. Thank you so much!

Above all, the large Onsen bath is in a separate building, so you have to go outside and walk over to use it. At check-in, there were many long padded coats hanging next to the front desk with a sign saying “Please feel free to use them,” and I wondered why—this was the reason. It might be fine in summer, but I stayed in February and it was very cold, with snow from the previous day still on the ground. The restaurant is the same way; I wore my down jacket to dinner. First-time guests should be aware of this.\nThat said, everything else was excellent. The staff were kind, and the food was very delicious.
