Shirakabako Lakeside Hotel Yamako-kaku

We stayed for two nights during the Obon period. I was a bit concerned about my family's reaction after reading comments about the facility being old, but thanks to renovations, it was very clean, thoughtfully designed, and well-maintained, allowing us to have a comfortable stay. Our family has small children and enjoys camping, so this accommodation suited us perfectly. However, some people might find it inconvenient that there is no elevator to the second-floor rooms or that the toilets are shared. It may not be ideal for those seeking luxury or full-service accommodations and therefore may not appeal to everyone. However, if you're someone who can manage things on your own and enjoys camping but wants to stay in a room this time around, you'll likely enjoy it here. The nearby Lake Tateshina was perfect for an early check-in stroll; we were able to use the boats without waiting in line and made good use of our time. It was a lot of fun! The location is also convenient by car for visiting Kurumayama or Shirakabako Lake. We would love to make this our base again in the future! Thank you very much! We'll visit again soon!

I have stayed here several times during motorcycle touring. The facility is a bit old, but I am very satisfied with the price for no meals included, which comes with a bath, toilet, TV, and refrigerator. The staff were kind and welcoming. There is a shared microwave and electric kettle available, making this accommodation highly recommended for those who do not require extra meal services.
