Minshuku Ryokan Satonoyado Kawashiri

The accommodation has a very traditional charm and a refreshing atmosphere, which was wonderful. Thank you very much.

It was our first trip with a pet. Unfortunately, it rained all morning and continued throughout the day, with low temperatures making sightseeing difficult. Hoping to enjoy at least the bath and food, we arrived at the ryokan with great anticipation. We checked in after 4 PM and were shown to our room. The room was pet-friendly but felt a bit small; however, it was clean and free of any pet odors. The elderly lady who assisted us seemed to love animals and provided warm hospitality. The meals were delicious, featuring fresh fish sashimi and grilled fish! The bath had pleasant water and was kept very clean. Although the women's restroom was a bit far from our room, it wasn't much of an issue as everything appeared newly renovated and well-maintained.Breakfast offered a variety of dishes that were also very tasty! During checkout, the male owner assisted us kindly without any unpleasantness mentioned in some reviews I had read before visiting. He even expressed concern for our journey back home.While some reviews have been critical about this accommodation being an older building, I believe it's up to each individual how they perceive such things subjectively. For me personally—considering it's a minshuku (traditional inn), located in an excellent spot for sightseeing with delicious food—and being able to stay here with my pet at such reasonable rates made it worthwhile! I would love to visit again someday—hopefully on a sunny day!For those traveling with pets: please note that items like pet sheets or toilet trays are not provided here, so bringing your own is recommended!
