Maiko Kogen Hotel

This was my first stay here. I was looking for slope-side Accommodation and decided to book this Hotel. In the end, I was very satisfied. The food was excellent and high quality. The Onsen was also fantastic. I enjoyed the shampoo bar. The jacuzzi was great as well. However, it’s a bit small, so I couldn’t use it as much as I wanted. I think an open-air bath would be a nice addition. Still, the ski resort access is outstanding, and the Room was clean—I was very satisfied overall. The snow quality wasn’t great this time, so I’d like to visit again when conditions are better.

This was my first time staying here.In winter I often choose slope-side hotels, and this Hotel felt high-quality in every aspect.I do think it’s on the pricier side compared to others, though (lol).[What was good]- The lockers available before check-in are large- You can take a bath after check-out- Kids’ yukata come in three sizes- There is a guest-only lounge/relaxation room- Overall very clean and well maintained[What wasn’t so good]Honestly, nothing (lol).If I had to mention something:- It would have been nice if the lockers after check-out allowed free access in and out- Since the lobby is also used by day visitors, it can get a bit crowded depending on the time (no seats available)Overall, it made it into our family’s top 3 Hotels for ski trips (lol).It was such a comfortable stay that it made me want to visit again even in the green season.
