    Rebranding of Hotel Trusty

This is a rebranded accommodation of Hotel Trusty, which closed in 2021, possibly due to the pandemic. It combines the charm of its old structure with modern features that minimize staff workload, creating a hybrid hotel experience. While a more thorough renovation might have been ideal, this approach retains its unique character. - Check-in and check-out are completed via screen operations. Guests receive a brief explanation of the facilities from staff and are given bottled water (though I later realized I forgot to drink it and left it in the fridge). Amenities are self-service from the lobby; I took a toothbrush and paper cup. - The room was relatively spacious. There was an interesting mismatch between old furniture and new items like the TV and chairs (a commendable effort to reuse existing assets). The smart TV allowed access to YouTube. Inside the room, it was quiet without any noise from neighboring rooms, making for a comfortable stay. The bed suited me perfectly, providing excellent sleep—I'd love to know its manufacturer. - In the bathroom, there seemed to be drainage issues as water seeped into the toilet area, which caused some concern. - Breakfast included complimentary coffee or tea along with either an An Butter Sandwich or Miso Katsu Sandwich. While not elaborate, this simple offering felt like a smart choice for efficiency. Impressively, drinks were served in paper cups alongside sandwiches handed directly to guests—eliminating dishwashing needs entirely—a clear sign of corporate ingenuity. However, there was no verification for guests during breakfast service, raising concerns about potential misuse by non-guests. - Overall impression: Reasonably priced with straightforward services left me satisfied (not perfect but good enough that I'd consider staying again). The accommodation had lively energy with many international guests present.

    Good.

I stayed here during a live concert trip. Although I arrived late at night, the smart check-in and card key access for the elevator made me feel secure. The miso katsu sandwich for breakfast was delicious. We took it back to our Room, but many people were enjoying their meals in the bright dining area while working on their laptops, creating a pleasant morning atmosphere. I would love to stay here again if I visit Nagoya in the future.

Perfect for a simple overnight stay...

Close to Fushimi Station with many restaurants nearby. The amenities are basic, but it was surprising that there were no cups in the Room. The bathroom facilities feel old, so it’s suitable if you’re just looking for a place to sleep. The front desk is on the 2nd floor with only one escalator, which alternates direction during check-in and check-out times. After leaving your luggage at the Hotel post-checkout, be mindful of the lack of an elevator when retrieving your belongings from the 1st floor.

    Is the building agin...

Is the building aging? When I drained the water from the bathtub, the water overflowed from under the sink. I was immediately moved to another Room. The bathtub was so grimy, possibly from soap scum or body oils, that it felt unpleasant, making me quickly get out of the tub.

    Excellent cost performance

The room is spacious and clean for the cost. The bath is also large, allowing for a relaxing experience overall. The location is slightly away from the downtown area, making the surroundings quiet. Breakfast was also provided and it was delicious.

    The window in the ro...

The window in the room was frosted glass and only opened about 10 centimeters at an angle, so as a claustrophobic person, I requested a room change, but was informed that all the room windows were of this type.

    Convenient location

The location is good, and the staff were kind and pleasant. The room was clean and functional, but I think the leakage when draining water from the bathtub needs improvement. The breakfast was substantial and good, but I would also like the option of just toast and coffee. Thank you for taking care of us.

    The bathtub drain needs inspection.

When I tried to drain the bathwater, it overflowed onto the bathroom floor, so I gave up on draining it. This could be a problem if you want to take a bath twice. It might be a good idea to inspect the drainage in each room.

    Good points

Good Points - I was able to stay at a reasonable price - Last time I didn't receive it, but this time I got mineral water at check-in - The free light breakfast was appreciated and the staff was kind - The TV supports YouTube and Netflix, etc.

    I was very satisfied.

The lobby is spacious, bright, and clean. The amenities were also good, with the essentials and room wear available. The room, which I didn't have high expectations for, wasn't bad either. The bed was comfortable, and the sheets were white and clean, which was nice. The TV had various channels to watch, which was good. The miso katsu sandwich for breakfast had dry bread, and the shiratama dango? I hope for improvement... But having coffee and breakfast is appreciated.

    Just right for business trips.

I used this hotel for an overnight stay before a business trip. The lobby lounge was spacious and open, and having USB outlets was helpful. I arrived at the hotel early, but I was able to spend the time until check-in working in the lobby lounge. The guest room was clean and sufficient for just staying overnight. I usually bring my own set of toiletries as I don't use the hotel's amenities due to my skin type. Therefore, having soap, body soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the bathroom was enough. However, I would have liked at least a kettle, and the refrigerator wasn't cooling (I think it was broken), so I deducted one point for inspection deficiencies. Check-in and check-out were done via panel operations, which have become more common recently, but they provided courteous assistance with operation instructions and inquiries. There was a service of a sandwich box and drip coffee for breakfast. The set of cutlet sandwich and shiratama dango was very Nagoya-like and left a good impression. The location is good, about a 5-minute walk from the subway, and I felt it was sufficient for a one-night stay. Since dining options are scattered, I recommend researching in advance and targeting specific places before heading out.

    It was a misunderstanding.

I booked the hotel expecting new facilities and Prince hospitality, but I was mistaken. First, I was surprised when I was asked to input my age, gender, and occupation at check-in. At all the hotels I've booked through the Ikkyu site before, it was just a signature. When I asked the Japanese male staff at the front desk about the necessity and reason for re-entering personal information, I was annoyed by his strong response that we couldn't proceed without it, which wasn't a valid reason. However, I held back my frustration, entered my personal information as instructed, received the card key, and went to my room via the elevator. Upon entering the room, I finally understood my misunderstanding. I had assumed it was a new hotel, but only the public spaces had been renovated, and the rooms, including the plumbing, remained old. Given this and the earlier incident, I had planned to stay for two nights, but I decided to check out early because I couldn't stand the smell of the old building, even though the accommodation fee was non-refundable. However, the only person who showed concern about my checking out five minutes after checking in was a foreign male staff member. Since the front desk is on the second floor, I had to carry my luggage to the first floor to go outside. The facility is old and not barrier-free, so I had to carry my luggage down the stairs. He kindly helped me carry it down and conversed with me in fluent Japanese. Although it was all due to my misunderstanding, his Prince hospitality slightly eased my feelings.
