I enjoyed the soothing tranquility and the feeling that time flowed slowly; the food was delicious, and the service was excellent.

Please take this as honest feedback rather than criticism. First, the welcome and farewell were very pleasant. Recently, even at high-priced Ryokans, the greeting and send-off can feel lacking, but here all the staff were excellent. The meals were outstanding. The Room staff in charge of our dining was a male staff member who conveyed confidence in the food being served. He emphasized that warm dishes should be enjoyed before they cool down—essentially encouraging us to eat everything at its freshest and most delicious state. His efficiency and confident explanations about each dish showed their dedication to quality dining experiences. However, I was disappointed with the Room bath. There was no space to relax or enjoy a view; it felt too enclosed with barely any scenery visible through a small uncovered section of the roof. I personally prefer more open designs for such spaces, so this aspect fell short of expectations.Additionally, there is no alcohol available for purchase on-site except for four cans of beer in the Room refrigerator—no vending machines or room service options either. While bringing your own drinks is allowed (as confirmed via phone), it would have been helpful if this information had been communicated beforehand since nearby convenience stores are only accessible by car—a distance that wouldn’t be considered "close" by city standards.Luckily, I had brought wine with me; otherwise, having just four cans of beer until dinner could have made for an unpleasant experience! For those planning to stay here: make sure not to arrive empty-handed if you wish to enjoy drinks during your stay!
