Although it is a bit far from the station, the Shuttle Service makes up for it, and it’s interesting that Dormy Inn uses a system that is rare for the brand. Another highlight is the view of Mt. Iwaki from the open-air bath; while it can be cold in winter, the snowy scenery was absolutely breathtaking.

I made a Reservation because I wanted to try staying in a dome tent. I didn’t expect the bath and toilet to be down the outdoor stairs, but we still had a very comfortable stay. The bath was amazing! We could relax in a private space, and the amenities were far better than expected. I couldn’t believe they even had a Dyson hair dryer and a ReFa hair iron! The meals were also excellent—everything was delicious! The kids’ menu was luxurious too, and breakfast was fantastic! The inside of the dome tent was comfortable as well. We had so much fun with the games we borrowed and laughed a lot. And since there’s plenty of distance from other tents, noise wasn’t an issue at all. I’d love to visit again if I get the chance!

Throughout our stay, we could feel the Accommodation’s pride and dignity in every detail, and it was a truly fulfilling experience. First, what deserves special mention is the thoroughness of the Room cleaning. Everything was carefully arranged down to the smallest detail, and the spotless space—without a speck of dust—made us feel that the fundamentals of an Accommodation were being upheld at an exceptionally high standard. We were also deeply impressed by the grace of the attendant’s service. Though she was young, she wore traditional attire, moved quietly with no wasted motion, and spoke with gentle refinement. In each gesture we sensed a polished spirit of hospitality; imagining how much effort she must have put in even brought tears to my eyes. (This old man is easily moved.) And above all, what was most outstanding was the exceptional quality of the cuisine. With generous use of premium ingredients, every aspect—the presentation, depth of flavor, and expression of seasonality—was superb. More than anything, I felt that what sustains this high level of service—and its true cornerstone—is the proprietress’s attitude. She consistently leads from the front, encouraging and guiding her staff. I was profoundly moved. These days, Accommodations like this are becoming rare. My wife and I are already talking about returning again in autumn. This is a genuinely outstanding Accommodation where you can experience Japan’s traditional beauty and refined elegance without exaggeration.

It was my first stay in about 10 years. Just as I remembered, the room, the view, the meals, and the Onsen—everything was completely satisfying. Above all, the staff’s bright smiles and thoughtful hospitality (including international staff) were wonderful and made our trip even more memorable. One small disappointment was being directed to a parking lot away from the Hotel despite there being plenty of space right in front, but the Shuttle Service driver kindly shared the quickest route to New Chitose Airport, and we enjoyed a pleasant chat during the short ride. Tatami with beds, very relaxing. Traditional hospitality with tabi socks provided. The bath on the 18th floor offers a stunning night view of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building from the open-air bath. Breakfast exceeded expectations with New Year's osechi dishes. About 80% of guests were from overseas, but everyone had good manners, and the bath area was kept clean. There is a 7-Eleven convenience store across the street.

With breathtaking views of Kouri Bridge and the emerald-green sea, I was able to comfortably balance time at the Hotel with sightseeing around Kouri Island and nearby areas, making for a highly satisfying stay. This time, I stayed solo for three nights. I had visited Kouri Island before on day trips, but this was my first time staying overnight. What impressed me first upon arrival was the beauty of the view from both the lobby and the Room. Looking out over the emerald-green sea, Kouri Bridge, and the sky and greenery beyond the terrace, time naturally felt slower, and I felt it was an environment where you can truly enjoy the stay itself. The Room was spacious, with tasteful furniture and amenities. Both going out exploring and spending time in the Room were comfortable, and even during a Multiple Night Stay I never grew tired of it. Using this Hotel as a base, I also explored northern Okinawa (Cape Hedo and Daisekirinzan). The balance between travel time and relaxing at the Accommodation felt just right, making it an ideal location to enjoy both Kouri Island and northern nature without overextending yourself. Dining at Restaurant “OCTO” also left a strong impression. From octopus paella to vongole bianco, every dish was delicious, and I could take my time enjoying my meal in a calm setting while admiring the view. In addition to three breakfasts included in my Plan, I visited multiple times during my stay—once for lunch and three times for dinner. All of the Hotel and restaurant staff were wonderful—friendly yet respectfully unobtrusive—which made me feel at ease throughout my stay. The limited-time sauna was also memorable. In addition to a poolside sauna setup, using the pool as a cold plunge—and then reclining on chairs in the pool while looking out at Kouri Bridge—made for an exceptionally open-air experience unique to this location. I believe one of this Hotel’s greatest strengths is how well it lets you enjoy both sightseeing and your stay without leaning too far toward either. If given another opportunity, I would love to visit again.

This was my first stay, and the front desk staff were very helpful. The Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and I would like to stay at this Hotel again when I visit Shizunai. Since the TV only had terrestrial channels, it would be even better if it could also stream YouTube like other hotels.

I made a reservation on behalf of my father and mother for a birthday, and they were very pleased with the chef's special dishes, including sashimi boat platter and spiny lobster, all of which were delicious. About a 30-minute drive or bus ride from Toba Station to Minami-Toba, this was a quiet, relaxing Accommodation. From the rooftop, you can see the sea in two directions; at night you can enjoy the stars, and in the morning the sunrise is beautiful. The silky Onsen, spotless rooms, fresh sashimi and thoughtfully prepared dishes, along with the warm hospitality of the proprietress and staff, were truly soothing. Thank you very much. Having seen it on TV beforehand, I was truly impressed by the building and furnishings that reflect the founder's aesthetic sense, as well as the stunning art pieces by Yokoyama Taikan, Hirayama Ikuo, Dali, Chagall, and more. The gold-leaf ceiling and Italian tile floors were abs
