I stayed here on a girls’ trip with my mother and aunts. The tea and sweets served at check-in were delicious—it felt like having tea at a lovely café. The Room was charming down to every detail, and seeing the FAUCHON name on every amenity, I couldn’t stop taking photos. I stayed in “Yoko.” The Room was spacious, and the view from the large floor-to-ceiling windows was breathtaking, with the ocean stretching out before me. I also enjoyed the sunrise from inside while sipping coffee. It was 2°C outside (lol). The open-air bath attached outside was excellent as well, and I enjoyed it both morning and night. The Hotel’s Onsen was comfortable—not only was the water quality great, but the mist shower felt wonderful too. Dinner was served in a private dining room. Everything was delicious, especially the sashimi. Breakfast was a buffet. It lacked a bit of character, so this part felt slightly underwhelming.

The meals were meticulously prepared and served with a warm touch that didn’t feel overly formal. The room with a semi-open-air bath was fantastic, allowing us to fully enjoy Onsen without needing to visit the large public bath. It truly felt like an unforgettable experience

Including “Dog Villa Bettei Akai,” this was my sixth stay. This time, I chose “Hanare Yoshia” because a new Luxury Floor has been added after a renovation. Until now, the only drawback of “Hanare Yoshia” was the view from the Room, but the view from the “Hanare Yoshia Luxury Floor” is excellent. I was able to see a stunning sunrise from the in-room open-air bath. As always with “Hanare Yoshia,” the lounge is convenient to use, the staff’s hospitality is outstanding, and the meals are consistently reliable. Dinner in particular exceeds expectations every time—I’d even say it’s worth staying just for dinner. I will definitely stay again.

Bettei Senju-an always welcomes us warmly. This time, my husband had sprained his ankle, and they kindly went out of their way to drive us, which truly moved us. All of the staff are genuinely kind, and it is a special place where we feel happy and relaxed every time we visit.

I came to Kyushu on a trip for my mother. We chose this place because the Reviews were truly excellent about the cherry-blossom garden, the Onsen, the lobby lounge that feels like a top-class Hotel, the food, and the staff—and in the end, it was exactly as described in the Reviews, or even better. First of all, the chocolate fountain with the welcome drink was absolutely amazing! The staff member who guided us to our Room was also very pleasant. We stayed in a detached Room, and it happened to be peak cherry blossom season—the view of the garden in full bloom from our Room was breathtaking! And we could enjoy it all to ourselves; my mother was deeply moved. And above all, the food was outstanding. The natural flavors of each ingredient were brought out beautifully, and every dish was perfectly seasoned. We enjoyed Kyushu ingredients we had never tried before, served on beautiful tableware—everything showed careful attention to detail. My mother kept saying throughout dinner how incredible this chef is! The explanations when each dish arrived were thorough, and their thoughtful service made for a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience. I was also happy that we could keep admiring the cherry blossoms while eating. The quality of the Onsen water was excellent as well. We fully enjoyed everything: an open-air bath that changes between night and morning, a rare tatami bath, and even the bath in our Room. Truly—whether it was the staff, cuisine, Room, or Onsen—everything was exceptional. This became an unforgettable Hotel for us. I would definitely love to stay again. This is my favorite Ryokan, which I have visited many times—first with friends when I was single, then with my husband after marriage, and now with my children. The moderately cozy Room, beautiful decor, the view from the private open-air bath in the Room, the cuisine, and the large public bath—everything is perfect. Details like having separate yukata and pajamas prepared or being able to choose a small beer as a welcome drink show how thoughtfully everything is arranged. Staying here truly soothes my soul. Although it falls into a slightly higher price range for me personally, it motivates me to work hard so that I can bring my family here about once a year. I will definitely visit again!
