Tochigi Grand Hotel

I was able to check in early when I arrived a bit ahead of schedule, allowing me to relax. The amenities were well-prepared, providing peace of mind. When my friend, who was staying with me, felt unwell, the staff kindly lent us a thermometer and even asked about their condition on the day of checkout. It made me feel that this is a very warm Hotel. The Room was spacious and very comfortable. However, I was slightly surprised that the bathroom in the Room was a bit dark and there wasn’t a separate changing area; instead, the entrance served as one. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I would love to stay here again when visiting Tochigi. Thank you!

I stayed for one night. The hotel has an old-fashioned charm but is well-cleaned. The front desk staff were kind. The room (spacious Japanese-style) was renovated and very clean. Amenities were available next to the front desk, including facial cleansers that could be used freely, which I appreciated. There are three large baths (men's, women's, and private), and the washrooms had lotion and moisturizer available as well. Although the women's bath was small, it was comfortable when not crowded, allowing me to stretch out and relax. They even had popsicle ice treats after bathing! The welcome drink machine seemed to have some issues as it didn’t dispense smoothly, but I managed to enjoy a drink nonetheless. While using paper cups might raise concerns about wastefulness, it does feel more hygienic this way. Breakfast was delicious overall; however, I missed the yogurt mentioned in reviews but still ate plenty! Next time I'd like to try the rooftop beer garden in summer! If I travel nearby again, I’d love to stay at this hotel once more!
