Marine Palace Kagoshima

The Room was spacious, and the amenities were excellent. The ReFa hair dryer, shampoo, and treatment felt very luxurious and were great. Right in front of the Room, you can enjoy a spectacular view of Sakurajima, and the sunrise is perfect.There is also a sauna in the large public bath. In the lounge, beer and sparkling wine are all-you-can-drink (time restrictions apply). Breakfast was also delicious, with a great selection of Kagoshima local dishes. It’s a wonderful Hotel and highly recommended. Thank you very much.

I was looking for a place relatively close to Kagoshima-Chuo Station so I could catch the express bus to Kumamoto the next morning. Drinks are included. The Hotel also hosts weddings, and the moment you step into the lobby it smells wonderful. There’s no souvenir shop. It was a truly great Hotel with warm hospitality.[Room] The tatami mats were new and everything was spotless. Having two sinks side by side really shows they understand what guests need—I genuinely appreciated it! It’s especially helpful for groups with lots of women or for families. You can see Sakurajima right in front of you from the window. Unfortunately it rained on our stay, but I’m sure the view would be spectacular on a clear day.[Dining] Dinner: The Reservation page said there were selectable courses, but I didn’t really understand and booked anyway. In reality, it was amazing! They let you freely combine Japanese and Western dishes into your course—for example, Western-style soup with sashimi as the fish dish. And everything is delicious. Each person can choose individually rather than by group, which must be very demanding for both the floor staff and kitchen team. Some of the floor staff seemed like they were new part-time employees, but they worked hard and left a great impression. With drinks included during dinner, it was fantastic to choose from various cocktails and alcoholic beverages without worrying about extra cost.Breakfast: A Japanese set meal featuring tamagoyaki (rolled omelet). It uses local ingredients, is filling, and tastes great—I was completely satisfied.[Bath] It’s a standard large public bath, but the slightly cloudy water felt wonderful. I didn’t notice at night, but apparently you can see Sakurajima in daylight and enjoy a nice view. There’s also a sauna. The shampoo and other amenities were good quality (no stiff hair like some Onsen baths), and the hair dryer is ReFa![Staff] Everyone was kind—overall an excellent Hotel! I’ll definitely stay again next time I’m in Kagoshima.Maybe because it was a weekday, we got an unbelievably good rate and my whole family was very happy. This is a Hotel that truly thinks about its guests. Thank you very much.
