Tora no Yu

We stayed here after hiking Mt. Kuju.Check-in is at the front building, Accommodation is in the loft building, the bath is in a separate bathhouse building, dinner is in the dining hall, and breakfast is a bento you pick up from the front building.The Room is a loft with a mezzanine level, so one unit can accommodate up to about four guests.The Room was spacious and comfortable, and all amenities were provided, so we had no issues.However, both the bathhouse and dining hall are a bit of a walk away, which can be inconvenient.Also, when the weather is bad (we had heavy rain in the morning during our stay), going outside can feel like a hassle.Dinner was delicious yakiniku, and we also enjoyed the breakfast bento.The bath was comfortable as well, and we fully enjoyed the Onsen.It’s very reasonably priced and an Accommodation I would recommend.

Everything was absolutely satisfying. The autumn leaves in the highlands were beautiful, and just being there was relaxing. The private baths, with 5-6 options, were very spacious, and I enjoyed them three times. Dinner featured Bungo beef barbecue. The meat portions were generous, incredibly tender, and delicious—leaving me completely full. The Room was a detached unit and very quiet. It was also spotless and well-maintained. The night sky filled with stars was breathtaking; it had been a while since I saw such a stunning starry sky—it moved me deeply. All the staff members at the front desk, dining area, and elsewhere were kind and left a great impression on me. I would love to stay here again next time and highly recommend it to others as well.
