We chose Ise for a memorable trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary as an older couple and to create lasting memories with our senior Shiba Inu. Two years ago, when we visited Futami Bay, we noticed several groups with dogs coming out of a traditional ryokan nearby. They all praised the accommodation, saying the food was delicious and it was an excellent place to stay. Since then, we had been curious about it and finally got the chance to stay this time.The building was older than expected, which surprised us at first. However, we were warmly welcomed by an adorable Collie dog. The hallways inside felt like a maze, making it exciting as we found our way to our room. The recreation room labeled "Café" featured an old-school arcade game that made us feel like we'd traveled back in time to the Showa era—it was thrilling! Our room, though old-fashioned, was clean and spacious with a view of the sea that allowed us to relax completely. The bath facilities were also aged but provided warmth and comfort for unwinding. The futons were clean and comfortable on pristine tatami mats where even our dog seemed happy.The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the food—every dish beyond just Ise lobster was exquisite in freshness and flavor; there was so much that we couldn’t finish it all! For breakfast the next morning, they served miso soup made from Ise lobster shells and sea bream heads—a truly thoughtful touch that left a lasting impression.All staff members were kind-hearted and attentive towards both guests and pets alike—this is truly a pet-friendly accommodation! Taking an early morning walk by Meotoiwa (the Wedded Rocks) at Futami Bay during sunrise added another layer of perfection to our experience.We would love to visit again someday!

This was my first visit. The building is old and has a Showa-era charm, but it was very comfortable even with a dog. The staff provided warm and friendly service, making us feel at home. It’s reasonably priced, yet the meals are delicious and filling. The resident dog, Maron-chan, warmly welcomes guests. I would love to visit again!
