I’ve traveled with my dog several times, but this was the most satisfying Hotel I’ve stayed at so far. The unmanned lobby was also very clean, and I already felt pleased even before entering the Room. The dog amenities were very well stocked, and the Room was spotless, stylish, and well maintained. With a semi-open-air bath, a footbath, and a sauna, everything was clean wherever I looked, and I could truly relax both body and mind. Just staying in the Room made me feel like I was fully enjoying an Onsen trip. The meal Plan was also excellent—sukiyaki with high-quality meat, obanzai side dishes, and breakfast bread were all delicious and extremely satisfying! If I had to ask for one thing, it would be to have just a little more of that delicious meat—then it would have been perfect. There was also a projector so we could watch Netflix on a large screen. We couldn’t use it because it was cloudy, but there was also a telescope for stargazing if the weather is good. The garden where we could watch our dog happily playing while soaking in the footbath was wonderful as well. Our family trip became truly luxurious, and our Hakone trip turned into an amazing memory. I would definitely like to stay again.

We stayed with my parents, our three children, and two grandchildren. Since we had two 0-year-old babies, we chose a flexible vacation rental rather than a Ryokan so we could adjust meals and bathing as needed. We were worried by Reviews saying the open-air bath was lukewarm and the Room was dirty, but in the end it was a trip we were very happy with! We would definitely return.It was our first time staying in a vacation rental, but with babies it was great to be able to eat in the Room whenever we wanted, let them nap in the bedroom, and bathe them as usual—so I think we were able to travel without putting too much stress on them.With a vacation rental you do worry about how thorough the cleaning is, but as long as that is solid, it’s perfect.The open-air bath was indeed on the cooler side, but more like “you can stay in forever.” There’s also a semi open-air bath; if you open the window it feels almost like an open-air bath, and this one was warm enough. There’s even a footbath on the balcony—amazing![Pros]- The bathing area is separated by a door for privacy, and there are two toilets—very helpful for a large group- The hair dryer was a Repronizer (that made us excited!)- There’s also a water dispenser, plus drinks and snacks in the fridge- We didn’t expect much from it, but the view felt really refreshing- We chose uni shabu because it seemed unique, and it was delicious! You shabu-shabu sea bream and meat in a pot with lettuce and mushrooms. You might want to bring extra vegetables too. The fridge is large enough for any food you bring- The nightwear was comfortable and my parents liked it too- The large-screen TV was exciting[Cons]- There were only six bath towels (for six guests). Since there’s an in-room bath you’ll likely bathe multiple times, so I wish there had been more—ideally two per person- No facial cleanser- We couldn’t figure out how to turn on the living room speaker and contacted support at night. They answered quickly but their response was slow overall; instructions were hard to follow and we wasted quite a lot of time. We had to pry open (is it broken?) part of the TV cabinet that doesn’t open normally just to switch on the main power of equipment inside—unbelievable!! Please provide clear instructions or leave it powered on from the start.- As stated in advance: having only one comforter per bed is inconvenient- There’s complimentary drinks/snacks service; I wish details were listed online so guests can decide what (and how much) to bring. There were more drinks than shown online, plus snacks/sweets too
