My wife and I stay here together every time. No matter when we visit, the Facility and amenities are kept clean, making our stay very comfortable. We’re also truly grateful that, despite rising prices these days, we can still stay at a reasonable rate. The late-night soba service was as delicious as ever, and we enjoyed a variety of drinks as well. We always look forward to breakfast, and it was tasty at a very fair price. We will definitely stay again—thank you!

What a wonderful library. I was filled with excitement, as if exploring a carefully curated collection of books. The meals were also excellent, and I was able to spend meaningful time chatting with my daughter. Thank you for an experience that truly made staying here worthwhile.

The front desk staff and breakfast staff provided excellent service, making my stay very pleasant. (Although I made a mistake with the Reservation, I appreciate their assistance.) The public bath is small, but other services more than make up for it. You can take your breakfast to your Room in a takeaway container, amenities are well-stocked, and there are pillows and room wear available. The TV allows access to YouTube and Netflix as well. (No need to bring an Amazon Prime stick.) I was overwhelmed by the exceptional hospitality and responsiveness of the staff. Thank you very much!

This was our second stay. We were very satisfied with the meals—carefully prepared dishes made with quality ingredients and beautifully presented on lovely tableware. The water temperature at Asama Onsen was also just right. Most of the other guests seemed to be couples around our age, so we were able to spend time in a very quiet setting, which made us extremely happy.

We stayed at this Accommodation during our trip to Matsumoto as a couple. We were told that a larger Room than the one we had reserved was available, so we ended up staying there at short notice. The Room was clean and very comfortable. The unit bath was also very clean and well maintained. In the morning, we had a buffet at Gusto on the first floor. It was a fun experience—having a buffet at Gusto isn’t something you get to do very often. The food was delicious, and we ate plenty. When we stay in Matsumoto again, we would definitely like to use this Accommodation again.

I stayed for two nights. The lounge and interior, truly worthy of the name “Mingei,” felt calm and relaxing. Above all, every course at the restaurant “ICAZA” was delicious, and breakfast was excellent as well. As for the Room, I requested a Japanese-style room, but there were few power outlets—so that choice was a mistake on my part. Also, I noticed a slight odor in the drinking water at the bath area. Overall, if I lived within easy reach, I would definitely want to stay at this Accommodation regularly.

I stayed at the accommodation for a solo trip. The lobby was very lovely, and although the staff seemed busy, they were kind and attentive—thank you! The birch hot spring on the second floor was comfortable, and the guest room was clean and well-maintained! Breakfast was also very delicious! However, there was one point I noticed during breakfast. There were instances where tongs were placed directly on ingredients/dishes, causing contact between items touched by hands and food. It caught my attention a little. Separating them might make it look even better in my personal opinion. That said, staff members patrolled regularly, which left a very positive impression.

We stayed in a Room with a private bath. The Room was very spacious, and both the interior and the bath were clean and beautiful, making it easy to relax and unwind. The amenities were well stocked, so we felt right at home. The bath was also large and comfortable, and the provided hair dryer, shampoo, and other items were high quality. The staff were very courteous as well, which made our stay pleasant—we were very satisfied. Personally, it was the best Accommodation I have stayed at so far. I would love to stay again. Thank you.

It was very convenient, located just a few minutes’ walk from central attractions such as Matsumoto Castle, Nakamachi Street, and museums, and about a 10-minute walk to Matsumoto Station.\nIt was a small, clean Accommodation, and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast.\nIf staying in Matsumoto City, this is the Accommodation I would choose.

We got a great deal, and they even upgraded us to a better Room—everything was taken care of. The parking lot is convenient at 1,100 yen with unlimited in-and-out access. It’s close to the station, and the service is excellent—an Hotel we truly appreciated.

I stayed here recently to see the projection mapping at Matsumoto Castle. The location is very convenient as it is close to Matsumoto Castle, and the Hotel was clean. My Room was on the 1st floor, so I didn’t need to use the elevator, and since the bath was also on the 1st floor, it was very convenient. About 10 cm of snow fell in one day, and I could see a snow-covered Matsumoto Castle the next morning, which became a wonderful memory. The Hotel staff were kind and made my stay pleasant. Thank you!

This was a family trip with our 1-year-old and 4-year-old. When we stayed before, only adult meals were provided, but this time they prepared a kids’ set for our older child. Since our child loves to eat, they were thrilled when it came in a large bento box and they got to open it themselves—they were the most excited of all. Having the fun of opening the lid was also wonderful. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the adults were very satisfied as well. They also prepared two Rooms for us, which was a huge help—we could use one Room to watch TV and get ready in the morning without waking the children. We usually like to try staying in different places, but this is one place we definitely want to return to again and again!!

Warm, heartfelt hospitality, delicious meals, and a wonderful hot bath—this was a lovely Accommodation. We were completely satisfied! Singing and dancing along with the mandolin concert was so much fun and became a great memory. Thank you for the photos. We’d love to visit again in a different season.

We stayed as a parent and child for my son’s university entrance exams. ■ Warm hospitality for exam takers At check-in, the staff asked, “Are you here for exams?” and gave us a small gift. My son, who was feeling nervous, seemed relieved by the thoughtful gesture, and I’m truly grateful as a parent. ■ Excellent amenities and a comfortable Room The amenity bar was well stocked—my son especially liked the bath salts and was able to relax. I also tried a face mask for the first time in my life! Even as an older guy (haha), it felt very refreshing after a bath. We were assigned a corner connecting Room, which allowed us to maintain privacy while still being close enough—making our stay extremely comfortable. ■ Great location It’s close to the station, with plenty of restaurants nearby, so we had no trouble at all even with a Plan without dinner. ■ A small suggestion for the future Winter in Matsumoto was drier than expected, so having hand cream among the amenities would make it even better! Thanks to the kindness of all the staff, my son was able to take his exam in great condition. We would definitely like to stay again when we visit Matsumoto. Thank you very much!

Arrived tired... The natural Onsen bath was wonderful! The staff's courteous service was very helpful. I also enjoyed the soba noodles for breakfast.

We stayed over a three-day weekend and were very satisfied with both the Facility and the service. It turned into a last-minute trip and we made our Reservation on the day of our stay, but this Ryokan was more comfortable than the Accommodation Fee would suggest. Meals: Breakfast featured a wide variety of dishes made with local ingredients. Everything was delicious. Room: The Room was clean and spacious enough for two people. Being able to replace the hand towels was a small touch, but I really appreciated it. Baths: We bathed twice, morning and evening. We were grateful that we could Reserve a private bath by phone before check-in. Every bath was very clean; none were particularly large, but they felt calm and relaxing. Because the shower water was also Onsen water, the water pressure was weak, but it didn’t bother me much. Inside the Accommodation: Every staff member greeted us with a smile whenever we passed by. We also enjoyed how much there was to see—there’s a pond inside, as well as a beautifully maintained courtyard with an ashiyu (footbath). Since I don’t often buy souvenirs at a Ryokan, I’m glad I could purchase cider made at the on-site winery.

We gathered from various places to celebrate our elderly parent's birthday and stayed for one night. First, we relaxed together in the private bath while watching the clouds drift by. The specially prepared sparkling water was a delightful touch. The Onsen made us quite hungry, so we chose a small portion gourmet plan considering my mother, but it left us all fully satisfied. We were touched by the thoughtful celebration gesture from the accommodation, and the mulberry jam we purchased at the shop on our way home was delicious as well. During our stay, whether it was walking freely on the spacious tatami or feeling the warmth of the staff, there was always a cozy and pleasant atmosphere. Thank you very much!

We stayed here with a large group in January. First of all, the traditional kura-style building is truly one of a kind. It has been beautifully renovated to suit modern needs while preserving the charm of classic Japanese architecture. It’s even more impressive in person than in photos, and you can really enjoy the building itself—perfect for anyone who loves architecture. The living room feels incredibly open, and even with a big group it never felt cramped. The kitchen was surprisingly spacious, and it was stocked with more than enough cookware and appliances. There was also a great variety of tableware, all stylish, which made cooking even more enjoyable. The dishwasher in particular was large and high-performance, making cleanup easy even for a big group. There are multiple bedrooms as well, so everyone can rest comfortably. This Accommodation is ideal for the purpose of “staying together as a large group and relaxing.” Overall it’s very spacious, so we could spend time there without feeling self-conscious. We only ordered breakfast, but it was simple Japanese food and very delicious. For lunch and dinner we arranged our own meals—buying ingredients at nearby supermarkets (Tsuruya and AEON are conveniently close) and cooking ourselves—and that became part of the fun of the stay. With such well-equipped facilities, this place is especially recommended for those who enjoy cooking. Even though it was cold around New Year’s, the inside was warm and comfortable. The separate hinoki bathhouse was amazing; you heat the indoor bath yourself, but the scent of hinoki wood and the atmosphere were truly relaxing. There is also another bath in the main house (with a modern tub), which you can use as well—and we appreciated the thoughtful touch of underfloor heating in the changing area there. We were highly satisfied with everything—the space, facilities, and overall atmosphere—and would love to visit again in a different season.
