Located along Route 134 in Inamuragasaki, "Shadow Pond Kamakura" offers a unique and serene stay. Upon opening the entrance door on the first floor, you will be greeted by "Pond-kun." The hall where Pond-kun is placed features an open ceiling, while the rest of the space is designed in a traditional Japanese style. One of the two 8-tatami Room Japanese-style rooms overlooks a dry landscape garden and the Sagami Bay, while the other Room features two alcoves, with a Nio statue placed in the main alcove. The sliding doors separating the two Rooms are adorned with images of Mount Fuji in red and a dragon. When the doors are stored away, the two Rooms combine into a spacious 16-tatami Room.The indoor bath is made of granite and can accommodate 4 to 5 people. There is also a sauna for about three people, equipped with a "löyly" feature. Both the indoor bath and sauna offer stunning views of Sagami Bay. Stepping outside from the indoor bath, you will find a rock open-air bath. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of Oshima Island, Enoshima Island, and Mount Fuji. At night, the illuminated dry landscape garden creates a truly atmospheric setting.On the second floor, there are three Western-style Rooms, and the chandelier view from the connecting corridor is particularly beautiful. The third floor features a 35-tatami living Room, where the bright white living space contrasts strikingly with a vivid red island kitchen, giving the impression of a floating island. ATTA HOTEL INAMURA is a resort residence located atop a hill in Inamuragasaki, Kamakura, offering breathtaking views. To share the charm of Kamakura with more people, we have turned the annex of our home into a one-group-per-day exclusive Vacation Rental. The interior is furnished with vintage furniture purchased in Indonesia 20 years ago, and my husband, an interior designer, and I have carefully coordinated the decor together. The guest room in the annex where you will stay is adjacent to the host's residence, but apart from the shared laundry room, your privacy is completely ensured. All check-in procedures and other arrangements are handled directly by the host, ensuring a warm and heartfelt welcome for all our guests. Within walking distance, you will find various restaurants and cafes, and you can enjoy sightseeing in Kamakura city or Enoshima using the Enoden train or rental bicycles. Reaching the Hotel requires climbing stairs, and it is by no means a convenient location. However, it is precisely this setting that allows you to experience a luxurious time surrounded by nature, where you can "fall asleep to the sound of waves and wake up to the chirping of birds."
