Highly rated for rooms and amenities at Kyoritsu Resort

The friendly staff who greeted us when we arrived at the parking lot made us very happy. We were able to leave our luggage before check-in, borrowed a cane at the entrance, and headed to Konpira Shrine. The bath after climbing all 1,368 steps was amazing. My husband also said the sauna was excellent. The Room was spotlessly cleaned and had a basket for going to the bath with a bath towel and face towel inside, which was very convenient. We also really enjoyed the half-buffet breakfast and left feeling full and satisfied. It was truly great that visiting Konpira Shrine, having dinner, and everything else were all within walking distance from the Hotel.

I chose this Hotel because it had such high Review ratings, and this was my first stay. I was a little nervous traveling solo to Hakodate for the first time, but the female staff member at the front desk who assisted me at check-in was truly pleasant and professional. Her thorough, thoughtful explanation immediately put me at ease, and I felt from the bottom of my heart that choosing this Hotel was the right decision. Everything I had contacted the Hotel about in advance was perfectly shared among the staff, so everything from check-in to getting to my Room was smooth and stress-free. It felt even better than I had expected. The Room was more than spacious enough for one person. It was clean and very functional, with essentials (e.g., a trash bin, tissue box, etc.) placed exactly where I would want them—everything clearly arranged from a guest’s perspective. Perhaps because there aren’t that many guest rooms—or maybe due to the season—the restaurant was never crowded, and I could enjoy my meals in a relaxed space. Both dinner and breakfast were truly delicious...(!) With fresh and luxurious seafood as well, I ended up eating too much every day. As for the Onsen, the large public bath had a wonderful atmosphere with wide-open views of Mt. Hakodate and the sea. It was spacious with no crowds—an incredibly pleasant Onsen experience. The changing area also offered chilled mineral water, guarana soda, ice pops, and more—such attentive hospitality that left me feeling fully refreshed in both body and mind. There are three private baths as well; no Reservation is needed—you can use them anytime if available—and I could relax without worrying about others while enjoying views of the sea and harbor. Whenever I returned from sightseeing at night they greeted me with “Welcome back,” and when heading out they would say “Have a good day,” which made this Hotel feel like my home in Hakodate. It was simply so comfortable. Thanks to everyone here, my trip to Hakodate became a wonderful memory. Thank you very much! When I visit Hakodate again, I would love to stay here again—thank you in advance!

I stayed on April 5. First, the welcome drink—mango vinegar—was delicious. The entire Accommodation had a consistent Japanese style, and even the hallways were all tatami. Even things like insect spray and the doorbell were neatly placed in wooden boxes—such attention to detail. The buffet meals offered an incredible variety, with plenty of locally sourced items. There was even salmon roe and sashimi at breakfast, so much so that I skipped going out for a seafood bowl on the way home. When I opened the shoji screens by the open-air bath, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom—it was so moving I almost cried. It’s also very close to Izumo Taisha Shrine, and the staff were kind. We traveled as a group of four, and everyone thanked me for making the Reservation. The after-bath ice cream was fantastic too. My only regret is that I ate too much at the buffet and couldn’t try the late-night soba. I’d love to visit again.

We visited for the first time in two years to enjoy the New Year. Our main purpose was to watch the Hakone Ekiden, and once again, we had a wonderful stay. The early check-in time was very convenient. The Japanese sweets provided were all elegant and incredibly delicious. Preparing matcha tea was a unique experience—slightly nerve-wracking but enjoyable nonetheless. Personally, I was impressed by the Ekiden-themed beer cans during our last visit and hoped to see them again this time, though I understand it might be challenging to provide them regularly. Looking forward to visiting again with high expectations!

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary trip! From the moment we arrived and stepped inside, we were surrounded by a calm atmosphere and a comfortable space. We immediately felt at ease and naturally relaxed. The Room was spacious, impeccably clean, and very comfortable. In addition, every Facility and service in the property was thoughtfully maintained, so we didn’t feel any inconvenience during our stay and were able to enjoy a truly perfect time. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful—an indulgent experience worthy of a special occasion. Above all, the staff’s hospitality was outstanding; their warm words and attentive care moved us again and again. Everything—from the Room to the Facility, services, and hospitality—was of an exceptionally high standard, making it a truly perfect experience from start to finish. Thanks to you, we were able to spend an unforgettable wedding anniversary! We would love to visit again on another special day. Thank you very much.

I’ve stayed here several times and have always been satisfied. This time, since it was a weekend stay, the lounge was crowded and they couldn’t restock the sakura mochi fast enough, which was disappointing. The cheese-flavored crunchy beans were so good that I bought them online after returning home—weren’t they Umaibo before? The post-bath relaxation area was quiet and comfortable. I’m also happy that the private bath is available 24 hours a day. The meals are varied and can be customized as well, so you’ll leave feeling full. I was surprised to see so many big eaters who even finished the late-night soba. The in-Room bath in the Yunza Room isn’t an open-air bath, but that’s actually better in colder seasons. With checkout at 11:00, we were able to take it easy in the morning too.

This was my first time visiting Kinosaki Onsen. I chose the second-floor Japanese-Western style Room because Reviews said it had a great view, and just as described, I could see the river from both the Room and the in-room bath, making it a calm and relaxing stay. The dinner was a full-course crab meal, and of course it was outstanding in both quality and taste. Breakfast was also delicious, and they even served the crab I couldn’t finish the night before, so I left completely satisfied. I’m truly glad I chose Ginka. I would love to stay again if I have the chance.

The fairy tale–themed Room decor was charming, and having a vanity table was convenient. Since there were no small children, the large public bath and restaurant were not noisy, so we could relax in peace. It was also great to enjoy waters from different Onsen sources. Above all, I was surprised by how extensive the lounge services were. The Western-style dinner course looked beautiful, but the quality of the ingredients was not very good. It also felt a bit odd that the staff explained one by one which knife and fork to use. After visiting many Onsen, this has become one of my favorites. I would definitely like to come again.

This was my first stay here. The location is excellent, and the staff, Room size and layout, amenities, and the fact that we could be with our dog everywhere except the indoor baths made our Multiple Night Stay extremely comfortable. What I especially loved was a sign in the Room with a cute illustration of a dog saying, “Sorry, housekeeping—I slipped out!” It made me feel at ease and truly able to relax in the Room. Everywhere else we’ve stayed with our dog always has a sign saying there will be an additional cleaning fee, so I was really touched by the warmth here. I would definitely like to stay again next time.

This was my first stay, and the service, Room, Onsen, and meals were all excellent. I would love to stay again for a girls’ trip.

The Room was thoroughly cleaned, and I had a very comfortable stay. The sauna and baths in the large public bath were excellent. If I had to mention anything, the key has no cover, so it gets extremely hot in the sauna—I’d appreciate some countermeasure. Also, it would have been even better if the chairs in the relaxation area reclined further. All staff provided very pleasant service. In particular, thank you to the woman who assisted with checkout for going back to the Room to look for my lost item without any hesitation and finding it for me!

We stayed here for the first time to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We chose this Accommodation based on Reviews we had been reading for about a year. After actually staying, we were completely satisfied with everything: the warm hospitality of all the staff, the comfort of the Facility, the wonderful in-room bath with free-flowing hot spring water, and the carefully prepared and delicious dinner and breakfast. Thank you very much for the flowers in our Room to celebrate our anniversary. We truly hope to stay here again for future special occasions. Thank you very much.

The Room, the cuisine, the views, and all of the staff were wonderful—making our 1-night, 2-day stay extremely satisfying. We used to visit often more than ten years ago and were very pleased even then, but everything has been further refined. The newly renovated Room was excellent, the food even more delicious, and we were impressed by the seamless operation from check-in to check-out. The staff’s thoughtful care at both dinner and breakfast was also outstanding and made us feel truly comfortable. We had so much fun that we got carried away and caused trouble—we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Next time, we’re saying we’d like to stay at least two nights. The stunning views of Mt. Fuji, the courteous service, and everything from the Facility amenities to the meals were all excellent—we were very satisfied. I would love to bring my mother here. We will definitely stay again. We look forward to seeing you then.

This was my third stay at Umekoji Kaden Myo. Above all, I was looking forward to the kaiseki dinner. Once again, it fully met my expectations. The bath was also an Onsen, and it left my skin feeling smooth. On my next trip to Kyoto, I will definitely stay here again.

I requested dinner and breakfast directly with the Accommodation in advance, and the information was well shared, making everything very smooth from check-in to service. Every dish was carefully prepared and delicious, and I’m truly glad I ordered the additional meals. The baths and on-site Facilities were also well equipped, and I never felt inconvenienced during my stay. In addition, the programs offered by the Accommodation are appealing, making it memorable as an “experience,” not just a place to stay. In particular, the special paid temple visit tour held when enough participants join was extremely worthwhile. Thanks to the guide’s detailed explanations, I gained insights and understanding that you simply can’t get from visiting on your own, which greatly deepened the trip. Overall, I was highly satisfied with the service, meals, and experiences alike—an Accommodation I can confidently recommend. I would love to visit again.

The buffet was delicious, with sashimi for making your own seafood rice bowl, steak, freshly fried tempura, and a variety of tasty local specialties. The deep-fried dried horse mackerel at breakfast was especially crispy and amazing! The welcome drink and after-bath ice cream were also a nice touch. It’s great that you can choose between a yukata or samue. Being able to enjoy table tennis and tour the seven private baths with no extra charge is a big plus.\nWe stayed as five women in a Japanese-Western style room with two beds. The property was very clean throughout, and I highly recommend it.

The scenery and night view were so stunning that we were truly moved. Absolutely breathtaking. The Room was spacious even with four proper beds, and it also had a balcony and two sinks, so four adults could stay comfortably. Since we stayed in a La Vista Room, we could use the lounge at no extra charge and enjoyed alcohol and snacks. The apple vinegar available in the large public bath was delicious. We were also very satisfied with the large public bath, breakfast, and late-night soba. We would love to stay again.

I was able to relax and enjoy the bath, and the Room was very clean, so I could spend my time in comfort. It turned into a wonderful day, as both of our wishes were met—I wanted to enjoy the bath and hot stone sauna for a long time, while my husband preferred a shorter bath and then relaxing in the Room.
