From May to October each year, whale-watching boats depart from a nearby port. On July 31, 2021, two glamping Facilities were opened. Located on a coastal terrace overlooking Beppu Bay, the 6,000-tsubo property features a blueberry and kiwi fruit orchard, treehouses, and forest swings scattered throughout. This is a 145-square-meter, two-story wooden villa exclusively for guest use. It is highly rated as a gathering place for three generations, including grandchildren, or for friends. In front of the lodge, there is a private parking area and a BBQ space, which can be used in conjunction with the spacious living room on the first floor. The Facility is well-equipped, featuring a shower room with a bathtub, two toilets, and a fully electric large kitchen with three sinks. Within 15 minutes of the lodge, there are four supermarkets where you can easily procure local ingredients.From the lodge, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Beppu Bay below and the Saganoseki Peninsula in the distance, as well as a star-filled night sky, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in nature. The second-floor bedroom of the lodge is pre-arranged with 2 to 8 beds according to the number of guests, ensuring a comfortable stay. Guests are also welcome to bring their beloved dogs. In an adjacent separate building, there is a sauna and a hot bath Facility, which can be reserved for private use in advance.

It began in March 2022 as a regional community Facility in collaboration with "Frogs FARM ATMOSPHERE," a local revitalization initiative based on food from Awaji Island. SAKIA aims to "widely promote the charm of Awaji Island," "foster integration within and beyond the island," and "preserve traditions," serving as a hub Facility for local revitalization to energize the island and shape its future. With themes of "Food, Art, and Learning," it offers a variety of content. In April 2024, SAKIA reopened with newly added accommodations, transforming into a "well-being Facility" that supports diverse ways of working and spending time!
