“PLAY!! RESI STAY” is an Accommodation where kids can’t help but shout “Wow!”—a place they can enjoy to the fullest. To create a space that truly captivates children, we offer three types of guest Rooms themed around the forest, the sea, and sweets. Each Room features a bunk bed packed with playful surprises to spark curiosity—just like a “secret hideout.” In addition, the lobby and hallways include projection games and a bouldering wall, so kids can play freely outside their Room as well! The “Forest Room” and “Sweets Room” come with kitchens, making it easy to prepare baby food or breakfast—perfect for families traveling with little ones. A coin laundry is also available in the shared area, so you can feel at ease even if clothes get dirty.

In the “Forest Room,” enjoy a fun time as if you were having a party with the animals. In the “Ocean Room,” enjoy an exciting time as if you were exploring the seabed with sea creatures. In the “Sweets Room,” spend a sweet, dreamlike time as if you had wandered into a land of treats. All Rooms feature bunk beds that feel like a secret hideout. With fun features that spark children’s curiosity—such as a speaking tube for whispering between the upper and lower bunks and a mini bouldering wall—there’s plenty to discover.
We’ve enhanced the spaces outside the Room as well, so children can have fun throughout the property. As you enter the lobby, a wall-sized projection game welcomes you with vivid visuals. Touch a bubble and a fairy pops out, making flowers bloom—an interactive surprise kids will love. The floor also features a bouldering wall for children. In addition, we offer plenty of play areas such as a hopscotch corner and a slide, so kids can keep playing without getting bored.
To ensure a comfortable stay with children, all Rooms are equipped with a step stool and a child toilet seat. 8 minutes on foot from PLAY!! RESI STAY This vast garden served as the residence of successive emperors for about 500 years. You can stroll the expansive grounds with historic buildings and beautiful gardens free of charge (special exhibitions, etc. require a fee). There is also a children’s park with age-appropriate playground equipment, restrooms with baby changing stations, and rest areas, so families with children can enjoy it with peace of mind.
Kyoto International Manga Museum
A 10-minute walk from PLAY!! RESI STAY. This one-of-a-kind cultural facility hosts manga exhibitions, events, and workshops. You can read the manga collection not only inside the building but also outside on the grounds. The “Portrait Corner,” where you can chat with an artist while they draw your portrait, is also popular. You can admire magnificent Momoyama-period heritage, including the National Treasure Ninomaru Palace, the Karamon Gate, and beautiful gardens. A 25-minute walk from PLAY!! RESI STAY. With a 400-year history, this market is known as “Kyoto’s Kitchen.” About 130 shops line the streets, offering unique ingredients, local specialties, and shopping for goods and tools. Many shops close in the early evening, so an earlier visit is recommended.
