About the Accommodation Tax
Under the Asahikawa City and Hokkaido regulations, an Accommodation Tax will be imposed on stays from April 1, 2026.
Guests will be required to pay an Accommodation Tax of JPY 300–700 per person per night, in addition to the Accommodation Fee.
*The Accommodation Tax is levied on the “Accommodation Fee” excluding meal charges such as breakfast and dinner. Even for Plans with meals included, the tax bracket will be determined based on the amount after deducting the equivalent meal cost.
The Accommodation Tax is a public tax used to improve the tourism environment and enhance visitor reception facilities and services.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
*Exemptions apply for school trips and other cases that meet certain requirements.
*This is the combined total of the Hokkaido Accommodation Tax and the Asahikawa City Accommodation Tax.
