The oldest Ryokan in Hirugami Onsen, nestled in the rich nature of Southern Shinshu. The popular cave bath features the first-ever hot spring source of Hirugami Onsen, offering an abundant flow and a variety of baths worthy of its name as the origin. The pH 9.7 water is also known as Shingen's hidden onsen and a beauty-enhancing bath, making it irresistible to bathe multiple times during your stay. In spring, vibrant peach blossoms bloom in abundance, and at night, Japan's best starry sky certified by the Ministry of Environment shines brightly. In 2023, some rooms were renovated to offer various Japanese-Western styles for your comfort. Enjoy relaxing moments with the sound of a flowing river while savoring seasonal dishes made with fresh ingredients and soaking in our spacious onsen facilities.
The Onsen was absolutely amazing. The silky smooth water felt great on the skin, and I enjoyed soaking in it multiple times. Both the indoor and outdoor baths were spacious, with clean and roomy washing areas, making it a very comfortable experience. Our child loved the Onsen so much that they stayed in for three hours! The garden was well-maintained, and soaking in the outdoor bath amidst the crisp winter air while feeling light rain was truly refreshing. The meals were delightful, and we appreciated how kindly they accommodated our repeated requests for rice refills with a smile. We traveled from Nagoya by highway bus round trip. The next day, we had fun skiing and snowboarding at Heavens Sonohara nearby.
