A tranquil accommodation surrounded by bamboo groves at the foot of Inariyama. Perfect environment for dog walks.

Minpaku Inariyama is an accommodation located on the quiet hillside of Inariyama, surrounded by bamboo groves and offering a pristine natural environment. Historically, this area was part of the Fujiwara family's estate and was considered sacred ground where many monks offered daily prayers to the deity of Inari. The name "Bōzan" (Monk's Mountain) originates from this history, as explained by the priest of Fushimi Kamitaka Shrine nearby. Our accommodation is ideal for exploring Fushimi Inari Taisha's numerous otsuka (sacred mounds) and spiritual sites. It takes about 18 minutes on foot to reach Fushimi Inari Taisha via Takenoshita Path, a bamboo-lined trail inaccessible to cars. Along the way, you can visit famous power spots such as Fushimi Kamitaka Shrine, Kōbō Falls, Myōbūsha Shrine, and other mystical otsuka before arriving at the iconic Senbon Torii gates. From there, turning right leads you to Kumataka Shrine—Fushimi Inari Taisha’s top power spot—while turning left takes you in just one minute to Okusha Hohai-sho with its Omokaru Stone. Kumataka Shrine and Fushimi Kamitaka Shrine are two major power spots representing Mount Inari; we highly recommend visiting them. Additionally, our accommodation offers free parking facilities, making it an excellent base for sightseeing in Kyoto by car. After a day of exploration, relax with forest bathing on our wooden deck or unwind in our handmade open-air bath in the backyard. While it is not an Onsen hot spring bath, we provide high-quality bath salts comparable to Onsen water for your enjoyment. We also welcome guests traveling with pets! You can create memorable moments with your beloved dog at our pet-friendly accommodation. Dogs are allowed in guest rooms; however, if preferred, we also have dedicated pet-only rooms available. As a former ceramic artist who started running this minpaku business in 2018, I have since paused my creative work but cherish meeting guests from around the world as well as kind-hearted dog lovers who stay with us!

Address
Kyoto Prefecture35-7 Fukakusa Boyamacho, Fushimi Ward, Kyoto City
TEL:+81-75-641-2481

Approximately an 18-minute walk from Fukakusa Station.

If you are using a car navigation system and cannot set it with our accommodation's phone number or address, please set your destination to Kyoto Kogakuin High School (formerly Ritsumeikan Junior and Senior High School).
Phone Number: 075-646-1515
Address: 23 Nishideyama-cho, Fukakusa, Fushimi-ku, Kyoto City

Once you arrive at the main gate of Kyoto Kogakuin High School, proceed uphill with the school on your left. You will encounter two forks in the road; at both points, follow the stone wall on your left and take the uphill S-shaped curve to the left.
**[Note: Even if your car navigation suggests turning right, always proceed to the left. While it is possible to go right, that route is very narrow.]**

After passing through the east gate of Kyoto Kogakuin High School, you will see a yellow triangular pole on your right-hand side—please turn right there. The pole has "Minpaku Inariyama" written on it and features red flashing lights at night.

Drive straight for a short distance; our accommodation will be located on your left-hand side.
The parking area is slightly sloped and may be challenging to park in—please reverse into the space following along with the yellow markings carefully. Thank you!
