The “Golden Hot Spring,” a free-flowing natural spring rising from the foothills of Mt. Ontake, features a large public bath (indoor and open-air) as well as a rare mixed-gender open-air bath. (For mixed bathing, swimwear or a yukata-style bathing garment is required.) Whether you prefer Hotel stays or glamping, our dog-run rooms are also ideal for guests traveling with dogs. Surrounded by nature far from the city bustle, relax at your own pace while taking in the majestic views of Mt. Ontake.

  • Both the meals and the bath were excellent.

    With Mt. Ontake right in front of us, and being on the first floor, it was convenient with both the bath and dining area close by. It was great that we could use the bath at any time, and the Onsen was excellent. The meals were delicious as well. Thank you very much. We were able to get away from everyday life and relax at a leisurely pace.

  • I’d love to stay here again.

    About three days before our stay, we looked for an available Accommodation and booked it. It was a spontaneous trip, but it was a great Hotel. We arrived early, and the staff were polite and kind, which made us feel very welcome. Unfortunately, due to the weather we couldn’t see the starry sky, but we were very satisfied with both the bath and the meals. The Facility was also well maintained and clean. We will visit again on a clear day. Thank you very much to all the staff.

A large bathhouse with free-flowing natural hot spring water, featuring the “Golden Bath” (indoor bath / open-air bath), plus a rare mixed-gender open-air bath (swimwear or a bathing garment required).

During the day, you can enjoy views of Mt. Ontake from the mixed-gender open-air bath, and at night, a sky full of stars. The spring water is colorless and clear at the source, but when exposed to air, ferrous iron ions oxidize and turn a golden hue. The water type is a sodium–magnesium–calcium bicarbonate/chloride spring. It is said to be beneficial for cuts, sensitivity to cold, depressive moods, and dry skin. In the large public bath, we offer a “shampoo buffet.” Please try our selection, including shampoos from Kiso Town brands.
