Located at Kona Onsen, one of the three ancient hot springs of Izu loved by Minamoto no Yoritomo, the hotel conveys the charm of this historic hot spring from the Kamakura period. At our Hotel, you can enjoy 100% natural Onsen hot springs from both your Room and the public bath, offering moments of relaxation away from daily life.
Our family of four adults stayed in a 17-tatami Ryukyu-mat Japanese-style Room.A colorful, exciting, Japan-inspired Room that international guests would love! It was spacious and impeccably cleaned, and we were able to truly relax.And the bath was amazing!The gently flowing Onsen water had a slightly silky feel, and both the large public bath and the open-air bath were spacious, so we could enjoy a long, relaxing soak. The temperature was just right—I could have stayed in forever.The washing area was kept very clean, and with higher-positioned faucets and taller chairs, it’s thoughtfully designed for older guests.And the meals! Unlike the typical set menus you often find at Onsen Accommodations, everything was delicious, beautifully presented, and outstanding—such as short ribs steamed in bamboo and mountain-vegetable rice cooked right there.Breakfast was also incredibly tasty (including freshly grilled split horse mackerel), and we finished everything!In addition, after arrival we enjoyed welcome drinks in the lobby—there was beer and wine too—which was a lovely service.Handrails were installed throughout the property, making it very friendly for elderly guests.The Onsen manju placed in our Room was the best I’ve ever had!We made a Reservation to buy five boxes.Excellent value for money—an Accommodation we definitely want to return to.
Yahoo!トラベルユー... 3/29/2026The bath and dining area were close to the Room, which made it easy to get around with a cane.I have stayed at more than 10 Hotels in Izunagaoka, but none of them were truly satisfying.Noisy air conditioning, dirty open-air baths, baths far from the Room—things like that.This is a Hotel I would like to stay at again.The only disappointment was that the spout of the teapot was chipped at dinner.
