The Ryokan, originally built in 1959, has undergone a four-month high-value renovation and reopened in August 2024. While preserving its traditional atmosphere, Chikuba has been reborn as a comfortable and modern Japanese-style Onsen Ryokan. All rooms now include private toilets, and new features include Japanese-Western style rooms with permanent beds and barrier-free rooms.
