Matsue Universal Hotel Main Building
Shimane Prefecture/MatsueOffering Japanese and Western buffet breakfasts and daily changing set dinner menus.
A Business Hotel just a short walk from the south exit of JR Matsue Station. Enjoy panoramic views of Lake Shinji and Matsue city from the 45m-high observation bath (currently closed as of January 2022). Breakfast is served as a Japanese-Western buffet, and dinner features daily set menus. The hotel offers a paid parking lot accommodating large vehicles, making it an attractive choice with its excellent location.
I chose this Hotel because, like its sister Hotel in another area, it offered great value for money. It was disappointing that the large public bath was not available in the public areas, but the location near the station was ideal for sightseeing. The single Room had a wider bed than many others, and the living space was more than satisfactory. For dinner, I chose the set meal. There were no repeats over the two days, and the well-balanced side dishes were sufficient in both variety and portion size for me. Breakfast was a Japanese/Western buffet, so it was nice to be able to eat as much of what I liked as I wanted.
Yahoo!トラベルユー... 3/20/2026I stayed for a three-day Multiple Night Stay for an exam. Except on the exam day, I hardly went out, but I was able to relax and spend my time comfortably without worrying about anything. I’m truly grateful to everyone at the Hotel. The meals offered a choice between a daily special and curry, and it may just be my imagination, but the weekend daily specials felt especially generous. Of course, I also had the curry, and it was great that it came with side dishes as well. There were also drinks and a salad bar, which helped me get plenty of vegetables since I don’t usually eat enough. Everything was very delicious—thank you so much!If I have another opportunity, I would love to stay again.
