Hotel Gimmond Kyoto

Although I checked in late at night on the Room-assigned Plan, I was given a spacious twin room. It’s a charming, classic Hotel (in a good way), and despite feeling modern, the key is the old-style type you insert into the doorknob and turn, and you leave it at the front desk when you go out. The bathroom was also large, with great shower water pressure and good drainage. You can choose amenities from the amenity bar as well, and overall I was very satisfied. If I had to mention anything, the air conditioning isn’t individually controlled, and disposable slippers would have been even better. But these weren’t negative points for me. I really liked the atmosphere—it felt like a small European hotel.

I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. I was able to check in before the scheduled check-in time, the Room was a comfortable size, and the amenities were plentiful, which was excellent. The staff were also very pleasant, and the Hotel’s location was outstanding. This is a Hotel I would like to use again for both business and personal trips.
